Great video! I bought the IRC baja chassis from Detroit performance and its like raw aluminum! Any tips how to shine it up?
@eastsiderc
8 ай бұрын
Hey brother that is actually hard anodized you will need to strip the aluminum with drain crystals in hot water and a safe tub . Once all the anodize has been removed you can then use mothers mag polish or never dull to shine it all up.

What's up bro. Have a question for u. I also have an Alx engine and i have it in a 5t. I need help with one last part. I can't figure out how to setup the throttle and brake linkage. Anyway you can help?
@eastsiderc
3 жыл бұрын
Of course I can help you brother. Ok so I would purchase the yamadude linkage from DDM and remove the plastic rod end! Now you have a bare threaded stainless rod. Take that and thread that into the little white fitting dangling from the carburetor on your ALX and you should be able to figure out the rest! If you need to raise your break cam then I would also suggest and rcmax taller titanium break cam which can be had at Detroit Performance RC. I hope that helps you out brother! Congrats on the ALX.

What do you think about the 30.5 long rod? Is the exhaust opening larger like that 27.2? Curious if you know since you have the same engine I do
@eastsiderc
3 жыл бұрын
This pipe would be great to own and great on the 30.5. Honestly I was watching a vid of my 30.5 thats a crazy powerful engine! And I would say you may need to taper the opening on the pipe for the 30.5. Its very easy to do with a dremel tool.

Would this pipe fit in to a baja 5t? Without cutting something away? And i got a zenoah 30,5cc minimal porting engine will it peform better than the vrc bigbore pipe? Because i look for mid torque

That throttle response is nuts! Mine has a small lag. Might try a 990.
@eastsiderc
3 жыл бұрын
I got an 1107 in this no lag! This thing really is not fully tuned yet I need to air it out at mom n dads to fully see what she likes ! 990 is snappy on low end but depending on the cc it often times likes to run flat and that kills power and RPMs. This is why Zen uses an 1107 on a stock 32cc and they rip because they are giving that engine fuel and fuel makes the power brother Karl! You know!! The 990 on my 27cc Rovan did well but then again so did the 668 Id have to get them on a dyno to see which makes more power. Or the change in the curve rather! Wish I had one

Great video mate! Quick question; do any of your pipes go purple for first 2 inches from motor. Just installed an Olimat pipe on my new Losi 5t 2.0 and still running it in, it's gone purple
@eastsiderc
3 жыл бұрын
No my pipes never change color but I also have chrome finished pipes. Its raw metal and its bound to take on some color depending on the thickness and what not. I put gun oil all over my pipe when I ran it and it and made a brownish tinge after the header a little bit but that was my fault for not wiping the oil off. It’s possible in the losi platform being 4x4 that you are working the engine harder making it get a little warm. Also too lean of a tune can make pipes turn colors. Ive seen this pipe on other guys cars and it was all purple where you say but I could hear a lean tune in there video as well. The olimat is a good pipe company Id like to give there side pipe a try as well. But for the most part your probably okay! Its still hot here so running in heat makes more heat too! All kinds of factors to weigh in.

Would the pipe run good on a stock 30.5 rovan motor
@eastsiderc
2 жыл бұрын
I would say yes but if you wanna save money get the rear Rovan power pipe . Unless you dont want a rear pipe but honestly that cheap pipe makes better torque than this pipe here! But this is a very good side pipe however like with most side pipes you sacrifice a bit of torque hence the brrrRAAAAAAAAP instead of BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAP! 😂 thanks for watching!

@eastsiderc

@@kgm5512 absolutely bro! I will get a real test at mom n dads this weekend or Monday! The stinger seems very stout and the pipe is made of a great thick material yet its not to heavy! I cannot say a single bad thing about it! Everything about it is nice! And thats a lot for me to say about it being Im not much of a side pipe fan! I think we will all be surprised by the RPMs this will achieve. Got 16,000 full tilt last outing at moms! And it was hitting 14k here barely letting it wind up! Im excited bro! And the teeniest tiny carb adjustment makes the hugest difference on this particular engine! Im really happy with it. So many brothers are having so many troubles with Allens engines because these are ported out and they need lots of fuel and an optimal tune! Any little increment out of whack and people cant get them to run right. I have beaten several if ALlens engines and I have zero zero issues! All they do is rip balls and keep ripping harder the more tanks I get through them. He needs to build for experienced guys only because sadly knowing how to tune a tune stroke is becoming a lost art. And its truly an art! You must have a good feel you need a good ear, and the basic understanding of how a two stroke works and a good long screwdriver 🪛 to make things happen how they should. Because one little tweek one way or the other and you could just have a big fat turd on your hands! The fuel and the mix and the tune are beyond critical to achieving the very best power from any engine builders piece!!
