I used to pride myself on being in great shape, but after a lifetime of overuse and sports-related injuries, it was time for a change. I had triple hernia repair two months ago and was told I needed to have the labrum in my left hip repaired. Before going through another painful and lengthy surgery recovery, I decided to try my first-ever sessions with a personal trainer.
I knew Nate from playing on an adult league soccer team a few years back. He's a killer athlete and I soon found out--a killer trainer to match! I told Nate I want him to treat me like someone who has never exercised before, because I have a lot of learned bad habits in my regular fitness routine. I didn't tell him this: these sessions are my last-ditch efforts to avoid surgery and get my active lifestyle back.
I used to be skeptical about getting a trainer or doing power workouts like you see in this film. However, after 3 sessions I already feel better than I have in years. Nathan is the real deal, and I'm hoping you see the results in my appearance after 6 weeks of this style of training.
