2:46 Hot Chocolate was literally introduced in Heir to the Empire, Lando got Luke hooked on it. Oh, that sounds wrong phrased that way... But hilarious.

To hear Zahn tell the story, he apparently got more criticism for introducing hot chocolate in Star Wars than almost any other story decision he made for Heir to the Empire, just because it sounded too much like our world.

One of the only books to acknowledge how heavily cybernetic Hobbie Klivian is, wjere he uses his arm and leg to fill out space so he can foam seal his holed cockpit. But the scene around that is weird. They say TIE Defenders lack particle shields. I have thrown enough advanced concussion missiles at them to know they *Definitely* have particle shields

If there was one word I could to describe this book it’s “fun”. This may be the most fun novel I’ve read in a long time.

I wish Matthew Stover got to write more novels. He's my favorite SW author when it comes to prose and characterization. He's also responsible for introducing a lot of EU stuff into the EPIII novelization, which is probably the reason why Disney didn't canonize it.

Officially, the reason the PT and OT novelizations weren't canonized was simply because they were published before the reboot in April 25, 2014 and weren't written by Lucas despite being based on his earlier script drafts. But it's true that its callbacks to other EU material wouldn't have fitted in the current Disney Canon anyway.

@@harrambou9468 It's been years since I've read the book last time, but from the top of my head I remember that he mentioned Carrack and Dreadnaught-class cruisers and Victory-class star destroyers in the battle of Coruscant and he also referenced events from the Republic comic series. If I remember correctly, the Battle of Jabiim was mentioned and I also think there's a reference to Stover's book Shatterpoint. However, it's been a long time, so I'm not sure about the last one.
