With the bikes you've mentioned, I definitely like the Z900RS. 4 cylinder engines are just cooler, in my opinion. I think though generally you will find 4 cylinder engines have a snatchy/sensitive throttle since you always have a power stroke, at any point in the rotation of the engine, so they tend not to lag and give the same "thump thump thump" that twins and even single cylinders will produce. I think triumph have done a nice job bridging the gap between twins and inline 4's with their triples, so if your friend is going to sell you one of those, that could certainly be fun. At the end of the day, you have to go for the one you enjoy riding though. While the RE shotgun might be able to do everything it's supposed to, I'm sure you'll be missing the torque of the bonneville when you get on the motorway/open A roads.

Great video thanks Willie. Regarding the pressure washer I think I can help you with some advice, as it is the same as mine. First things first, before you turn it on make sure you have the hose connected and turn your tap on about half way, not full blast. The round yellow head device is what you need to use when cleaning the slabs on your patio, it attaches to the trigger and extension that fits in to the trigger. The procedure I use is when you are ready to use it, connect the hose and turn on the tap, then turn on the power, place the yellow head device on your first slab and you are good to go with pulling the trigger and cleaning away. Please note the slabs will clean up but due to their age they may not remove all the marks on the slab, this is normal and you may find you may never be able to bring them back to looking new. I am happy with the results I get. If you aren't you will have to replace the slabs with new. You may also find you will have to do some repointing between the slabs after, just see how it looks. I would not recommend using the lance on its own as it hits the slab and sprays the muck all over the walls, conservatory and anything else that is around. I have never used the chemical that comes with the pressure washer as the water seems to do a good enough job. I love your Secret Garden (or should I say your Slap & Tickle Garden). I also love the idea of having a patio door (french doors may be better) leading in to your bedroom. My choice of next bike for you would be the RE Shotgun as it seems to have the best balance of price and economy but I am going through a stage of thinking I personally would prefer an RE Super Meteor as it looks so comfortable. I know you had a RE Super Meteor (I think her name was Delilah) what did you think that bike was any good?

I can send someone along to help , his company name is Hamster Tool and he loves to get his hands dirty . ( just make sure that your neighbours don't have any small furry pets running loose ). I know what your "forever , whatever " next bike will be , but I'm only going to reveal the answer if you get it right. 😂 PS , There is an ex Triumph F Dobbs special Thruxton for sale , if you're interested . If they are flagstone have then taken up, turned over and relaid. If they are fixed in place then use a stiff broom and scrub them with detergent. A pressure washer can blast the surface off your patio and if you face the conservatory the grit blasted off by pressurised water will scar the glass and you really do not want to pressure wash those bricks.

I must have bought perhaps a dozen of bikes in my time and like you said I also thought everyone was a keeper and i think exactly that regarding my current GoldStar. The Z900 is a brilliant bike with exciting power but is it ideal for bimbleing around tight country lanes, perhaps its just too powerful for a gentle roam around your back lanes although it must be said, you are in control of the power, you don't have to go mad, but 4 cylinders can you resist ?

It sounds superb - I don't know how they got those exhausts through the latest regs but I'm so glad they did! As for RE, some folk are reporting poor engineering (Old School Adv Rider on KZitem, for instance has replaced the poor quality valves in his engine, and sourced a different timing chain sprocket as the original was wobbling on its shaft. He has had to 're-engineer' other stuff as well). The Z900 as you know is an in-line 4 and I find those a bit bland (too smooth, no character). I had a Blackbird and it had to go as it was so bland I could not gel with it.

The patio is merely "antiqued". If you were to show it off to your neighbors they would be clamoring for who your exterior decorator was! The Speedmaster has a stupid small fuel tank. And tubed wheels. I would PASS because I live in commiefornia and often travel miles across open desert and the Speedmaster's tank is too small for my peace of mind. Mine. Not yours, my friend as you live in Great Britain. Kawasaki Z900RS is nice. But will you fit on it? Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. You won't fit well unless you get some forward pegs/controls. Find out what this will cost before you say "SOLD!". Regardless, whether or not the bike you select this time is a "keeper" or not, matters little.
