Since I live in Germany I was looking for the first video of Angelina's Audions on KZitem on the night of January 7th. The first video had 1.8 million viewers from 6 a.m. to the afternoon and was then blocked. The second video from the Talent Recap KZitem channel had over 11 million viewers after 1.5 days and was then blocked. After three days I had videos with Angelina's performance in my playlist from over 33 million viewers, after two more days 79 videos were blocked. I find the behavior of the production company sad. 😥😥

At this point all copyrights had already been checked and all songs were approved. As an atheist, an Angelina performance is as close to religion as I ever get. Her music and her persona represent all things beautiful and decent in the world to me. Adam, you mentioned you “hope she stays that way”, in reference to her outstanding personal qualities. A few related thoughts. From what the public sees, she is very mature, confident, and grounded for her age. Although that is also my belief, I have to remind myself that she is not an adult, as she turns just 15 next year. Who really knows what’s going on in any teenager’s inner world? This is a reminder to myself to allow Angela some “youthful folly”, and that there is no such thing as perfect. And to contradict myself immediately, this performance was a 'perfect' cover. So much for consistency.

You said it perfectly... she breaths new life into old songs. She has actually said that one of her goals is to give new life to these classic songs that she loves and bring them to a new generation to enjoy. She not only does that, but she also brings them back for an old generation to enjoy in a new way. Lots of these songs she sings I have heard my whole life, but I don't think I ever _really_ heard them until Angelina covered them. The way she is able to take established songs and make them her own makes me really excited to hear the original music she is going to bring us in the coming years. I’m a little late in coming to the party so I will make this short and sweet. Your reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody was amazing. I sensed a great deal of real emotion from you and quite rightly so. Now you know how us Angelina fans feel about her. Your reaction to Yellow Brick Road was also amazing. You commented about her clothes did you notice that the print on the T shirt she was wearing was a print of her when was seven with her long messey black hair and her teeth pointing in every direction. You have mentioned in the past that you couldn’t wait to her do an original. Now is your chance. She just released her first single with Republic. The song is dedicated to those people who have lost a loved one but I think especially her Grandpa. It’s called Million Miles to say it’s amazing is a vast understatement. Still working on Aurora. Almost there.

I loved your reaction for Angelina’s performance of “Yellow Brick Road.” Like you, I have never been fond this Elton Jon’s song..when it first came out. When I heard Angelina sing this song though...it all suddenly made sense and the music surrounding it was really beautiful. It is amazing how much an artist can affect a song and have this kind of an impact with it, especially when they are only 13 yrs old. It is also amazing that she has that much depth in her “young?” soul to dig so deep and reimagine the story of this classic. She did this while not robbing this classic of it’s identity. She was respectful of the creation and honored the creator...and really gave life to a classic so that so many that would not otherwise have been able to hear. I love that you are enjoying your Angelina Adventure and journey. There are 2 songs of hers that will be very impacting on your view of her as an artist. It is like nothing that you have heard from her and is actually very different than most of what she does. One is when she is only 10 years old and for her to deliver a performance like she did on this is mind blowing for a 10 yr old..really any gifted adult artist would be thrilled to call it their own as well. The other is a phenomenal version of a song that she was working out on her electric piano..(some footage of it is shot). She like the results so it became the final version. It was said to be the 1st time that she actually worked on it. When she was finished she went out and played with her sister! So she was 11ish. This one is epic as well. Especially for one so young. The depth of the pain, sorrow and desperation that she can portray with such a haunting performance is spellbinding. Her genius in being able to tap into the grit and pain in relationships...at this age.....well she is just a little musical genius. Is all that I can say. I’m still holding out for you kzitem.info/news/bejne/paxu0555oWeanHo Wicked Games kzitem.info/news/bejne/ln93s3pqf3aXqmk

Adam, it took me a while but, correct me if I'm wrong, it seems like Angelina understands that there are so many beautiful songs on the shelf that had their moments of glory and she has decided to revive them so that the newer generations can hear them and enjoy them. Sure, she's particular but she is so versatile and can handle almost anything. She tinkers with the songs and actually makes them her own. At the same time she doesn't mess around with the integrity of a song. But, when she adds her style, her tone, her interpretation, the song becomes alive again. I think she has 4 or 5 originals already in the open market and I have a feeling she has a line up of new material coming our way very soon. Adam, the accolades she receives about her voice and all her techniques are nonstop. But, there is another "something" added to that which makes us care so deeply for her. Her humbleness is off the charts, her love for people, particularly children and she loves to sing to everyone, young and old. And, tell me, doesn't it look like she looks right at you when she faces the camera? And, the uniqueness of her smile! Adam, she compares to no one......

Maybe I should give her another ten years of development. Wow, that's almost a scary thought. 👩🏻🎤🎵🌎⭐️🇳🇴❤️ You know, I was just saying to myself last night, "Self, it's been a long time since Adam reacted to Angelina..." In the 9 months that I have been listening to Angelina (every day, by the way), I have often found that the more times I listen to a performance of hers, the more I come to appreciate it and recognize it for how remarkable it is. This is perhaps no more true for any Angelina performance than this one. There are songs she sings that I would otherwise never listen to, but for the fact that Angelina is singing them, and then there are songs that I already liked, where listening to Angelina sing them was a revelation, like hearing them in full stereo for the first time. For me, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" is one of the latter, and over time I have come to appreciate and enjoy more and more how masterful her performance is here, and how incredibly rich and beautiful is her voice. Great that you finally got here. "That Angelina Jordan magic". So right. The arrangement agreed, is based heavily on Sarah's but is also very creative. She avoids Sarah's use of a hard expression in the sections where Bernie T was critical of the "industry", instead Angelina goes emotionally soft, almost crying along with us We didn't cry when Elton sang it. Sarah made us cry for musicians trapped in contracts. Angelina makes us cry for ourselves, trapped in lives smaller than we had hoped.

I can still remember the lovely music in my head when I started singing along with the melancholic «Skyline Pigeon» I still love GYB Road, until I heard the version of AJordan. Wow!👏This is really something special A J’s version. And yes, Eltons wonderful songtext was very appealing to me. But when a young person like AJ blow a new life to the old song, with her beautiful and wonderful versjon only AJ can do, for Elton has inspired my mental and intellectual life through his songtxt, but Angelina made it even richer, for AJ has the tremendous creative ability to touch the peoples heart and soul. I watched her at 8 years old walk bare foot to the middle of a huge empty stage. Except for the mic stand and her microphone in front of over 40,000 people in South Korea. She then gave the thumbs up to her sound man stood waiting for her music to start looking about as unconcerned as if she was waiting for mom to pick up from school. The music came on and just like now she blossomed into the butterfly she always is when the music's playing. She sang her 3-4 songs flawlessly then walked off the stage like she had done nothing special while the audience was losing their minds. She is the most unflappable person on the planet when it comes to her singing. So a crowd like this is child's play. I believe that will be the hardest battle she will have is convincing the people in the business that her formula works and works best.

Never been a fan of neither Reginald Dwight or Oueen, actually. Adele singing? Nah...Angelina Jordan`s covers made me realise they`re great songwriters, though. Funny experience, that is. Now there`s a lot of youngsters on the internet trying to tell me I`m wrong. Keep it up! Paraphrase; "that`s what`s covers are for". ahem

This song is on one of my Elton John CD's. I've heard the original countless times but never paid much attention to it until I heard Angelina sing it. Then I heard Sara Bareilles version. Both are absolutely fantastic and way better than the original.

So young...such an old soul pouring out these vocals. Love her, to me a cross between Nora Jones and Billie Holliday..then her own inflections adding so much flavor. Ok no one like her.

You did some of her earlier stuff and now AGT. You still have another AGT to check out. You're going to love SOMEONE YOU LOVED. Don't forget her originals! You need to hear SHIELD!!!! Heck, there are a ton more that you "need" to hear. You're going to be like the rest of us and her 130 or whatever it is isn't enough and you'll want more.

I just listened to the Sara Bareilles version of Yellow Brick Road and enjoyed it. However, you can't compare it to Angelina's version because Angelina had to fit the song into AGTs two and a half to three-minute window. I did like Sara Bareilles' version of the song, but I prefer Angelina's voice. Angelina puts more emotion into the lyrics

Angelina has released her first single from Republic Records. It's called Million Miles. It's about her grandfather that she lost I think back in 2018. She has an official lyric video on her youtube channel. The illustrations were done by her and her grandmother Mery Zamani. It is an original she wrote to share with all who have lost someone they love. It is absolutely beautiful and emotional. I hope you react to it soon.

I find I enjoy this performance in a different way each time I listen to it. The one constant is the way Angelina sings the last word, road, so beautifully and reminds me of Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Maybe it's just the yellow brick road connection?

Great reaction Adam. You're really beginning to understand Angelina now. With their excellent choice and help of the record label they chose, and their awesome family help, you got to believe that the album will be out of this world. Angelina's family support is totally awesome. Thanks, and keep coming back. Love your comments and reviews. : )
