_Wasshoi wasshoi!_ _Wasshoi wasshoi!_ Hey Shaun is back! ii's been a while, you didn't show up with more BM songs from the new album, hope to see you around with more. We got another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this recently at Houston starting the US live tour and yesterday at Dallas as well in Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka, hopefully they will do the same at Blue Ridge Rock, Aftershock or Louder Than Life and get the crowd going nuts with this. It's their first song released with this new BM reborn and formation. The live debut was at Apocrypha - Another One exclusive show right before the track released, it was fun and totally unexpected, everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it. The song title is Metali!! (metal + matsuri, which is a Japanese festival) and you can hear it in the spoken section when one of them (MomoMetal) is doing the Kabuki moves style. Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festival when men are carrying the shrine, similar to sore and soya you can hear in Megitsune and Karate. The traditional Japanese instrument you can hear in the beginning is a shamizen, also used in Megitsune. I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts. If you're looking for more clips from newest live performance safe to react you can check NLMetal and "The Foxhole" to get some of those. Next suggestion to meet the Metalverse project: - Doki Doki Morning live at Makuhari Messe 2023, NLMetal got this proshot clip. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🦊🤘🎸

"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Great reaction. The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds are going nuts! 🤘🤪🤘 This is Momometal's first official music video since she was revealed as the official new member in April and she even got her own solo part with the spoken kabuki theatre section. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - I may have this a bit wrong, but there is something in the lyrics (I think in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance. Yes Wolverhampton - are you saying you didn't buy your tickets months ago?! The 2 nights at Camden Roundhouse sold out months ago, I can't imagine Wolverhampton isn't the same.

Hey man nice to have you here again! Metali does not exist as a word, it is a play on words between _matsuri_ (those japanese traditional summer festivals) and metal. Pretty cool song, they had not done a music video since BxMxC in 2020. Yep they are doing Wolverhampton and two London shows during the european tour this fall in the UK. Lots of the shows sold out already, not sure about that one. So be quick xD

Well done man! Yes, this song is a banger live as you expect. This is how they get "bigger mosh pits than Slayer." You're a fool if you dance. You're a fool if you sit and watch. So you might as well dance! Momoko's exaggerated vocals and poses are from kabuki theater. (Who knew Momo was this insanely good?!) And Andrew Hartley tells us that when a kabuki actor strikes that pose, the audience shouts the name of the school the actor came from. In Momo's case that would be 🌸Sakura Gakuin 🌸, so we're supposed to shout SAKURA! when she does that.

Welcome back and thanks from Japan 有難う 💛 The traditional Japanese instrument is "Shamisen : Sha・Mi・Sen 三味線" literally meaning "three・taste・string". The title is a synthesized word from two words : "Metal" and "Matsuri 祭 (festival)" → Metali. And if you want to know the deep meaning of the lyrics please check British-American Professor Hartley's channel (Andrew Hartley). I witnessed this song live twice this month : World premiere (live debut) in a special show and Performance at huge festival "Summer Sonic Tokyo". At the actual venues, this song followed after an intro with Western Kamis' cool instrumental solos. Oh My Buddha! 😍 I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song. Momometal's extravagant elocution and moves in Kabuki style (and her growl in live show) gave an amazing accent in the exciting repetitiveness. The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival). It is a kind of phrase to intensify people's excitement and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi on their shoulder that is a kind of a float in Western style festivals.

I have only seen it performed once, last night, lol! I can confirm that everything Mr Flugelhorn says is 100% true! My favorite part was Momometal's Kabuki performance and her amazing "Are you ready?" growl! Sugoi x3! It was amazing!

Saw them for my first times back to back in Houston and Dallas and let me tell you, no amount of videos can prepare you for how powerful and truly emotional their stage presence is! And the choreo up close, I can't believe how much better it was seeing how quick and precise their movements are! Momo is a bouncy ball of happiness and you can tell Moa has had a big weight lifted off her shoulders. We were right in front of her in Dallas and there was so much eye contact and waving and laughing. They made me feel like a kid again. Truly a marvel!

Nice reaction. I enjoy your reactions you get so pumped up for Babymetal. Like you are ready to go to their concert right now. Watching them before you go. Someday maybe. it could happen. Back to being a trio. Momoko now known as Momometal. Is fitting in very well as you can see. Promoted from avenger dancer to full fledge member. Just this year. From what I've seen from their concert tour Moa is back to being her happy self. And Su seems so happy with the way things are going. She almost does do her death glares. Almost. LOL. Waiting for more reactions from their new album The Other One. Like "Legend". The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

Welcome back to the Foxhole. The seated figure at the beginning of the video wearing a fox mask and is playing a shamisen (a Japanese 3 stringed instrument) which we hear through out the song. The title of the song is a mash up of "Metal" and the word for Japanese summer festivals, "matsuri" and it encourages everyone to get up and dance. The summer festival references are also seen in the crouched dancing, and the backup dancers wearing hyotoko masks. The instrumentation and the staging of the video reminds me of the 2013 video BM did for Megitsune, In that they challenged Japanese traditional attitudes towards women and in the "Metali" video they also break some Japanese taboos; they wear outside boots on tatami mats, they kick over tea trays and they have Momoko doing some kabuki style vocals and posing which is traditionally only performed by men.

This was indeed amazing in the concert i went to and Momo's moment was incredible and very metal. Also while we were standing in line waiting for the concert they started doing a mic check and Su sang a few bars of Papaya, i think it was, just her acapella and it was the most beautiful thing i had ever heard

WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? This songs been out for a while now! 😂😂😂 Su's vocals is so awesome in this more powerful, aggressive.... I love the Japanese Kabuki theater feel of the song, with Momoko doing that narration bit in the middle....I'm all smiles.... Especially after that very confusing collab of Lil Uzi Vert.... Metali makes everything right in the Babymetal world.... Can't help headbanging all through this song.... Why couldn't they have come out with this song back in may when i was at their concert..😁😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
