I wasn’t going to explain this but I’m compelled to say in 2014, South Korea was devastated by a horrible event called the Sewol Tragedy. Look it up. BTS released Spring Day in 2017 and the song has been adopted by the Korean people as the theme song commemorating that event. Spring Day has never left radio play rotation in Korea since it was released.

ON MV has a lot of symbology and references to religion and movies too. Fun fact - many Army's say it's Lion King pride rock at the end tho it isn't. It's actually Vasquez Rocks from Star Trek Voyage Home. They have a performance MV as well showing the full choreo it's amazing and often more recommended than the story driven MV. Their B-sides are insanely good so I have to discount your progress because you’ve missed too many gems! Plus you haven’t started on their Japanese discography. Whilst this isn’t nearly as extensive as their Korean output, there are some absolute treasures - especially for you - I can see you loving all the beautiful harmonies in their Japanese songs. Spring Day as you have no doubt learned from the comments is one that Army's really want reactors to watch the explanation for. To clarify the explanations are more for the MV itself and a linked event rather than the song lyrics themselves. The MV is packed full of references, symbolism and deep meanings which to the casual watcher can be hard to pick up on. I deep dived about as deep as I could get and wanted to know everything I could about the event in question. I've seen pretty much everything I could find and the four best ones I've personally found so far I've listed below in case you also want to look deeper. Bulletproof vibes is a mid level BTS MV focused only explanation. Italian Army is a much deeper very emotive BTS MV focused one with event content too that a lot of people find very hard to watch. Rotten Mango narrates the event only from a more humanistic perspective but it is also very emotional. Brick Immortar (2 part) investigates the event only and gives a full technical detail of how and why it happened and also goes into the recovery. When you learn how impactful this song is to Korean people you gain a whole new level of respect for our boys and their beautiful hearts 💜💜

In my opinion, it's absolutely necessary to react to the explanation video of Spring Day. For other videos, this isn't as necessary. But for Spring Day, the MV has a lot of meaning and real-world implications with a tragedy that happened in South Korea. You can watch Italian Army's explanation video for it. Just search that in youtube and it will come out. You'll need to pause it to react to it and sometimes to read the subtitles, because they go kind of fast. But in my opinion it is absolutely worth it.

You are nowhere near close to "finishing". BTS has over 400 songs in their discography, which includes group albums, solo projects, song remixes, and collaborations. Many of their songs have no music videos, so you have to watch a good lyric video (which should only be done when you can't find a good performance with subtitles. Which should be no problem, because ARMY's love to translate lyrics into their own language, so those that understand Korean can do that. And there are a lot of ARMY's who do, because we learn Korean to understand BTS and their lyrics. J-Hope is well known for his melodic rapping and the change in his flows. He really does have a group rap identity. All of the guys are amazing MC's. Spring Day is called the QUEEN of BTS's discography. And to this day, it is still on the Korean charts. Also, you really should check out the explanation video to the song, you will get a new perspective on it. And then you should understand. [2021] What you STILL DON'T KNOW about BTS SPRING DAY MV - kzitem.info/news/bejne/p6iKmpWVf6lno3osi=9SAZ7hYcWfEGvE0x DNA is the title track of their album Love Yourself - Her, and it's the first song they performed live in the United States on the AMA stage. DNA - BTS' US TV DEBUT w/ audience sound [FANCHANTS] @ AMAs 2017 - kzitem.info/news/bejne/wGOXz22Oi5d2iG0si=lAn4EFaGAnefnB_W For the song ON - there is a second music video that you should check out. This one tells a story, the other one is more of a Performance video with choreography, and BTS said in the behind the scenes that it was their most difficult dance choreography at that time. i see someone explained spring day but its still very important you react to Italian army video typing words will never be enough to explain what happened and rotten mango video is just so deep into it you learn the whole situation. reactions to explaining videos are a important part of being a army and people who dont deep dive are usually those who dont care to know the deeper meaning so not sure why they explained it that way but to each their own i guess. no army would mind reactions to the same songs in different contexts like explained video, dance practice, luve performances etc you dont have to just react to a song once and be done with that song. i know its different than many other artists but us as non koreans wont get the full picture without some explained videos.

Hi: I'm enjoying your reactions, but wow, are you whipping through a lot of content fast! Not quite fast enough to keep up--you've seen that Jimin just dropped an EP that he's been sitting on for a year, and RM did the same earlier this spring, and they shot two sessions of them talking to each other about their new music (look for the MiniMoni music discussions). This is adding to the 400+ songs in their discography + solo work + choreography and live versions + documentaries and guides, and their own variety show with 150+ episodes....Don't be daunted! You don't need to go through it all or quickly--this is for your own enjoyment, and you definitely seem to be enjoying it. We'll keep pointing you at stuff we think that you'll like as long as you indicate an interest. It looks like folks are pointing you to look for explanatory videos, but not really providing lots of context, which must be frustrating. I'm going to drop some info here, and then go back through your other videos and do some backfill--it won't be the same, but will maybe give you some more info without having to go watch 20 more videos about the songs you've already reviewed. Those of us with a couple more years as ARMYs have some narrative handy to drop on new BTS reactors to help lessen the confusion a bit. Hope this helps. Give me a minute and I'll add some new comments to those reactions. Save Me--it's not just some panning, it's a one-shot video. It took them several takes, and the cameraman's work here is truly heroic. All of them really, because it was cold and rainy, and on uneven ground. This is one video on the making of that you really need to watch--look for something called BTS Save Me shoot sketch or behind the scenes. Spring Day--this started as a song by RM lamenting the lost contact with old friends, with a verse by Suga but with a heavier context (one of his really good friends got into heavy drugs, went to prison, and went he got out not only persisted but tried to involve him--Suga wrote a whole other song about this called "Dear My Friend). However, by the time that the MV was made it had morphed into something more profound and painful: Spring Day (called the Queen by BTS fans, the ARMY, because it hasn’t been off the Korean charts since the video came out in early 2017) refers poetically and obliquely to the Sewol Ferry disaster in which over 200 school children were killed. All that innuendo was because the government was blacklisting artists who discussed it explicitly, though the president was finally impeached just a bit before the video dropped. Not your fault that you couldn't guess the emotional baggage the video has--thank you for not guessing that it's some kind of love song, as some other new reactors have done. The shoes draped over a tree branch are to commemorate the dead. There are a variety of explanatory videos on this, some look into the Ferry tragedy in great depth (the one by an Italian ARMY is gut-wrenching, have tissues handy), and there are some that analyze the video symbolically, such as by Bulletproof Vibes. When this happened in 2014, BTS donated a large percentage (estimates of around 30%) of their not very large income to a fund set up for the parents of the kids. As I mentioned, Spring Day has persisted on the Korean charts in the top 100 since early 2017, rising up every April on the anniversary of the Ferry's sinking. However, it also bounced up last December when RM, V, JK, and Jimin enlisted in the military--I think it even made it onto the Billboard charts then, because ARMY went into mourning a little bit. You can't imagine how much happier we all are now that Jin's been discharged. DNA: don't know if you noticed, but they are all wearing basketball jerseys of famous players (sometimes from their college playing days). The reactors at Watchugot2say pointed that out (they also linked the various outfits in Butter to the fashions associated with different hip-hop eras). Isn't that formation neat? That's them as genes in DNA! This DNA gesture gets referenced in JK's video for Standing Next to You. I think the other commenters have pointed out JHope as the great dancer--he started as a street dancer, and put out a documentary series on street dancing that's on Amazon Prime video. On: as folks have mentioned, the other video for ON has the choreography "ON Kinetic Manifesto"). There are amazing live performances of this too, one with a real marching band. In addition to the On shoot sketch, there's a great video called Dialog that talks to the music producers and the folks from the UCLA Blue Devils and to the members of the gospel choir about the process of working with BTS. Yeah, I didn't even hear the gospel choir in this until someone pointed them out--there is so much going on in this video!! Both versions of ON were shot near LA; the dance version is using dancers from the Lab, and was choreographed by Sienna Lalau (she'll be the first person you see in that video), who was all of 19 years old at the time. She also did the work on Dionysus, which someone needs to recommend that you watch also. Yes, JK's vocals are amazing. Wait till you hear him pull off that high bridge while sitting in a van during Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. Whew! Sorry it's so long!

Yo when I was asking am I close to finishing I was asking about the Music Videos obviously I knew I wasn't nearly done with their ENTIRE discography, Im not an idiot, come on, I thought you guys would've picked up on that, but literally only one person answered my question with telling me what Music videos I have left (thank you to that person btw) it's low-key disappointing some of you thought that fr, but I'm not surprised.

@Tovinn my bad. I never took offense to anything you said or asked. I was light-heartedly saying you’ve only scratched the surface of BTS, assuming you meant their media and music imprint. I actually enjoy your reactions and thought I was being humorous and helpful. Being much older than you I can see clearly there’s a generation gap in communication and perceived intent going on here. I apologize I offended you. It was not intentional. Just thought I was being helpful in a playful, teasing way. We ARMY, especially old school ARMY, often communicate that way for entertainment and fun. Clearly I don’t think your dense or slow. Otherwise, I wouldn’t watch your reactions. I find your synergy refreshing and cool. Your laid-back demeanor is appealing and comforting. You remind me of my friend Shawn(much older than you). He’s chill like you seem to be. At least what you portray to be in your videos. In reality, I use BTS reaction videos as a form of therapy. I have a few favorites like Jose Ochoa TV. He’s very funny and entertaining. So is DT PARKER! The twins, Jared and Jordan are awesome as well. I only pick fights with MAGA MUPPET MORONS and hypocritical religious zealots online. Not with kids like you who are actually spreading good in the world. So, I’m very sorry if my comment brought you down. Keep doing you baby ARMY! Borahae 💜

BTS is constantly stepping out of their “safe zone” when it comes to socio-political issues. Sewol Tragedy, BLM, Asian Hate Crimes in America, Global warming and Climate Change, School violence and other issues.

Wanted to clarify! Are you in a hurry to get somewhere? For what ? You don’t have time to understand and feel the track, you put off watching it again for later! Make at least two tracks! As a result of the race, all the clips are cute! You have so much more to say, but you don't have time to express it! It's a pity! Sorry if I offended you in any way, I'm sincerely sorry

Hey you know what you're right, I think I wasn't intentionally rushing, but since I had gotten so many great recommendations I was eager to get through them all, and move on to their other tracks because I am really enjoying their music, but now looking back it does look like I am just in a rush to get through things, so I will slow down a bit and try to savor it, and in terms of me wanting to say more, sometimes for me I don't really have much to say about the song, so those are the instances when I won't talk about it that much going forward.
