This is game footage, and there is a shorter version of this with the guys singing live for the gaming convention. Also, the guys plan on putting out their own official music video of this at some point later. They sometimes use instruments if they are collaborating with other artists, (which I'm not usually a fan of), but the guitar and mandolin were perfect for this song. Ubisoft approached Home Free to create music for their game "Skull And Bones" also coming out later. Chance, a member of the group who is into anything sea related composed this song and it its killer. They performed this fantastically. I'm not even a gamer, but this song makes me wish I were. I love Home Free!

You were talking more about the graphics than the singers or the song. They have a live performance at the Ubisoft convention of this song if you'd like to see them perform it. It's their original song written by Chance who also led the song for Ubisoft's upcoming game Skull and Bones and they did use instruments for this one, which I think it was needed for this. Usually they are acapella and do not use instruments, even though they can all play them.

They are billed as a country acapella group but they cover all genres of music, which you will see as you dive deeper down this rabbit hole. The Home Free fans are called Home Fries ad we will flock to your channel for Home Free reactions, we are loyal that way. They did a Sea Shanty Medley back during lock down which was Chance's idea. Ubisosft saw it and contacted Home Free about writing an original sea shanty for their game, which Chance did. Home Free does not have one lead singer, but take turns depending on the song and whose voice fits best and their harmonies are spot on. They have done a lot of covers which really are upgrades, and more recently have done their own original songs. Do check out more of their videos.

And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so doomed. We'll save you a chair. You're about to be buried in Home Fries. Your next reaction should probably be Man Of Constant Sorrow. It will give you a good overview of the men and their voices. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks while they were scattered across the country. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a world-class vocal percussionist and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), and his drum solos. For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). This man’s range is incredible. For Chance's smooth baritone/bass, check out Skull & Bones, Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, Coover Me Up, I Can’t Outrun You, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome.. basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. For Rob's soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) One Home Fry has described him as the vocal equivalent of a Swiss Army knife because of his versatility. For Austin's soaring power tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.) For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. The Home Free men are masters of collaborations. They put the spotlight on their collaborator, supporting them with wonderful vocals and amazing harmonies. Check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, Delta Dawn with Brooke Eden, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you'll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim's mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob’s and Austin’s “Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera.” You'll need smelling salts after that one. Don't miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they'll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother). And God help you when you get hit with the Home Free Curse. They’ll cover a song you absolutely cannot stand and make you like it against your will. I’d been hit by the curse four times now before I quit counting. I’m not the only victim of the Home Free Curse, either. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road, Only In America) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.

The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. I have not found a genre they are afraid to tackle whether individually or as a group they are amazing. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned. ❣ Nice reaction. Well you have just been introduced to the most diverse A cappela group that sings the most diverse genre of music out there. There beat boxer is off the charts great does all of the percussion and a multitude of other sounds that are utilized throughout the many covers and originals they have recorded. Their videos that accompany their recordings are superb from to serious to hilarious depending on the song. Each of the guys could have a solo career they are that good. Their collection of approximately 150 covers and originals is a deep rabbit hole as they address approximately 10 different music genres and few others when select members separately record. (IE Two COUNTRY Singers try singing OPERA - "Nessun Dorma" Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist kzitem.info/news/bejne/lpp4q4KkoIB1m6g ) Seriously if you are interested just search Home Free, find a song of a genre you like and you will not be disappointed. They won the Sing Off in 2013. This is a deep rabbit hole worth investigating. Not suggesting you react to every song. You will find they tailor the songs to the best voice of the group that matches . Examples: boys to men - End of the Road, Man of Constant Sorrow, Brothers in Arms, Hopelessly Hoping (Crossby Stills & Nash), Go Rest High on that Mountain, How Great Thou Art, American Pie ft. Don McLean, God Bless the U.S.A. (featuring Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band), Original Home Free What's Left Of My Heart, Mary Did You Know, When a Man Loves a Woman, The Butts Remix, Listen To The Music and the list goes on...... Quite a few genres listed above to provide a cross section. They are not just Country, they do sing quite a bit of it, but these boys are gifted beyond country and tackle whatever they choose and do it with excellance, they do not do anything half assed. Subscribed.

This is not a typical Home Free. As a matter of fact this is about as different as you could get. This is from the new Ubisoft game that has not been released yet. They approached Home Free after the success of their Sea Shanty Medley last year and asked them to write a new piece of music for the game. You might want to see the Sea Shanty Medly for a better representation of the usual work of Home Play.

Taking nothing away from Skull and Bones (it's absolutely fabulous!!), it isn't a capella. It has limited musical accompaniment. So while this is great and Home Free absolutely blows it out of the water, it isn't totally typical of them since it isn't truly a capella. Check out some of their real a capella stuff to hear the real magic of Home Free. In addition, in many Home Free songs, they "trade off" lead vocals. Here, Adam Chance does all the lead vocals (again, not to take anything away from Adam, he totally rocked this), so that's a little different for Home Free, too.
