Its a famous fiction story turned into a music video. Almost every ethiopian knows the story. Some even claim that its a real life story. The name of it being "Fikir eske mekabir" and it literally translate into "Love til death". It was written some more than 50yrs ago if i am not mistaken its the oldest story written in fiction book. Its setting is in the early 20th century, probably the 1950s. Its the equivalent of Romeo and Juliet, except the boy in this story is from poor background and got chastized for loving a prestigious land lord's daughter. The story has even been dictated artisticaly on radios. Cheers

@@DestinyUnleash yeah! You can see him teach her (young and studs as they are) old monastic school scripts. And they finaly met aged and in a monastry (while she gets her yellow robe lighted by candle) after decades of separation and seeking only one another and hence as singles, true love. You can also see him wondering in city having being banished from his home town where she (his true love) resides as well with her local fuedal all powerful daddy. The guy with grey hair throwing a party and having people dance is her daddy. That party is a show of graciousness for tax collection at the time.

The music lyrics is based on Ethiopian noble called “ Fikir eske mekabir “ ( love until the grave” ) . The book is about 1930s Ethiopia lifestyle in feudal system of government. The noble man tittle Fitewrary , employed a very educated young man to teach his daughter. Gradually the teacher and the student failed in love. But, it wasn’t acceptable due to the family martial status. The teacher families are poor and has no tittle on his ancestors line. The teacher knew he can’t have her , he left the province called Gojam, and went to Shewa particularly Addis Ababa. Her dad arranged a marriage with equal status, but , she run away changing her appearance to nun. Finally, they met each other, but, he was very ill ang his death bed. ….. all the lyrics and the drama is based on history. Both young couple dead virgin. I’m sorry the dance you see called Eskista, all the gestures have meanings.

This boy should have known better but he started something he couldn't finish..... he fell in love with her. She loved him as well. The old man wanted him dead so he run away and she could not live without him so she devoted her life to the church and moved in a monastery. He looked for he for many years and few minutes after he finally found her she died from a heart attack. I told you he should have known better.

He employeed on boy to teach her. After years seble and her teacher failed in love. But it was not easy to continou their love.Because at the time no body let to mairy kings kid.Finaly they leave from their family and deied in same day. I don't know wether tranislated in to English. If you get read it. I am sure you love it.
