@jay3 Chip and Dale Rescue Ranger the complete OG series is out on blu ray. I actually found this out this week. I'm going to be upgrading from the DVDs to Blu Ray this weekend. I wish Disney would do more in blu ray, but it looks like they are abandoning hd physical media for tv shows.

There has been a few good attempts to bring back good shows(transformers prime, he man 2002, thunder cats 2011) but sadly none seem to last and sadly it seems more and more that companies just don’t want to even try anymore

Space Pirate Captain Harlock is on Crunchyroll. One of my earliest memories was Ducktales and Rescue Rangers. I remember the Chipettes in the circus with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun playing in the background. It was the Chipette's version. The 13 Ghost of Scooby Doo was one of my favorite versions of Scooby Doo because it had real ghosts and there was an episode with a platypus. Whenever I hear the Filmation sound, I think Masters of the Universe or Ghostbusters. I liked the part of The Adventures Teddy Ruxpin with the hard to find city and the part with the hermit who was clearly an Illiop. I saw Babar in the 90s. My grandmother had the Berenstain Bear books. This cartoon might be the reason why people get confused about the spelling of the title.

Hooo boy do these bring back memories...for the longest time I thought I was the only one who remembered Count Duckula honestly..cause nobody I talked to at school when I hit middle school remembered it, they looked at me like I was nuts. I was born smack dab in the mid 80's so I didn't see a lot of these until they did reruns of them in the early 90s...but I loved quite a lot of them and honestly? They made me EXTREMELY biased against a lot of modern cartoons, between the 80's and 90's stuff I grew up with, the animation and art style looks more appealing to me and the intro songs actually TRIED to get you hyped up for the show...modern cartoons at this point? Your lucky if you even GET an intro and don't even get me started on the cut and paste Cal Arts style animation that's so popular right now. Also fun fact about C.O.P.S and G.I. Joe: In one of the creator's head cannon they ARE connected as the guy who did the bios on the back of the toys for C.O.P.S also did them for G.I Joe and he connected two of the characters by one being like...his great grandson or something. Really I think growing up with 80's and 90's cartoons is one reason I like anime so much...cause the art, animation, and music are all so good...I'm also a fan of vintage 80's and 90's anime on top of some of the modern stuff too.

"You could really mix COPS in with GI JOE" fun fact and little Easter egg. COPS took place in the future, and if you went all the way to reading the files on the back of the toys, one of the COPS was strongly hinted to be a certain Joe's grandson. (Same real name, but 'the third", and deliberately notes in his bio that his grandfather was part of a 'special military unit'.)

Some notes-- 1. biskitts did last a full season and yes, it's a smurfs clone. 2. "Some shows just don't make it" Ironic hills teens did get a spin-off show maxie's world! 3. Dukes had the full cast of the live show as voices for its two seasons. Coy and vance in season 1 and bo and luke in season 2. 4. Bananaman was a hero spoof. It aired on nickelodeon. 5. Count duckula is a danger mouse spin-off. Nickelodeon head who picked up reruns of the uk show wanted a spin-off and paid for it to get made. Result is duckula. Ironic this makes it the first unofficial nicktoon! Nick does not own it, however. 6. calliope aired on the usa cartoon express. It had short cartoons and stories. 7. Donkey kong had none other than the va for optimus prime himself as marios voice! 8. Tigersharks on comic strip is a thundercats spin-off and made a cameo in the 2000s reboot series.

Galaxy Rangers is an american production. The animation was made in japan which was common back then with most of the intros you're reacting to because japanese and other asian animation houses were cheaper to do then it was in the states, porting actual anime shows to be dubbed wasn't as common back then as it is now.

In regards to Battle of The Planets... taken from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (1972 Tatsunoko Productions, 105 Episodes). While it isn't the same theme as Superfriends it is composed by Hoyt Curtain who did all of Hanna-Barbera's music including (you guessed it) Superfriends. Gatchaman is one of the greatest anime ever made and is ridiculously violent for a show made in 1972 for children BotP uses both Curtain's original score and Bob Sakuma's original Gatchaman soundtrack. Gatchaman has one of the definitive anime OSTs of the 70s (my personal number 1 along with Uchu Senkan Yamato and Galaxy Express 999)

Science Team Ninja Gatchaman, I watched that religiously when I was a kid (knew it as both G-Force and Battle of the Planets). It wasn't until much, much later that I learned how edited and censored it was in the US and that doofy R2-D2 knockoff was from a completely different anime, and my love for it grew even more.
