There’s things that I regret not bringing up but I rewatched afterwards, a good chunk of the video also got cut out on accident!

@@JaiBNJai yes , i was referring to the part off the music video that got cut off. You said in your reply that you watched the whole video after your reaction but if you want to do it I would love to see you react/ talk to the hole video. I really liked where you where going with your reactions. Regarding the Easter eggs. I don’t think people expects that you should se or understand all Taylor’s Easter eggs when you’ve just started listening to her. A lot of us (Swiftie’s) like to educate and enlighten people reacting to Taylor’s songs by writing about backstorys and point out Easter eggs and explaining what they mean in the comments. But as I said, I don’t think people have expectations that you should be able to find and understand any of the easter eggs right now.

Thank you! It's understandable not liking every song but once you get through a few of them you start to see the versatility and relatability. Hard not to respect. If poetry is your bag you should try hoax, peace, and ivy❤🫶

I love this song. People criticize it because she obviously has been very successful. But I’ve always thought she has written this about people respecting you and less about money.

The scene 2:46 where her album names are written on the wall, refers to when she didn’t have the opportunity to buy her own masters which had been already sold to Scooter Braun (Scooter has bullied and manipulated Taylor for years). Apparently they sold her albums without her knowledge hence note the ‘no scooters allowed’ sign.

Scott Borchetta sold his entire company, with 4 record labels, to Ithaca Holdings (Braun). Less than a year later, Tay's masters were sold to Shamrock Holdings (Roy Disney's kids). Supposedly, Braun wanted to leverage the over 100 country/folk/ indie people on Big Machines payroll and combine joint live shows with his stable of pop artists -- pretty much what he did with Taylor and Bieber for the Boston and London concerts of Tay's Fearless Tour. Taylor's opposition to the sale was about her own masters (which Borchetta _should_ have let her buy! ). But the big killer for the collaboration and the joint artist live shows was the pandemic. Shamrock overpaid drastically on the masters; I think they are suing to get their money back from Ithaca. Braun, meanwhile, is now on the board of the biggest KPop corporation? or their american manager, or something. (not interesting enough to bother looking up).

If you do that though, be careful which one you react to, because there is one version that mixes up the footage and it's basically backwards.

If you’re a lost for words you can check out all to well the short film or exile the long pond version.. those two will make you speechless.. If you really want to ball out “soon you will get better” breaks my heart and I think you will appreciate the lyrics. You’re seeing the Swift “light” 😁 she’s a great story teller.

Given you like the behind the scenes and stories about her songs, you should check out the behind the scenes for each video. EVERY Taylor video has a behind the scenes - some are just a few minutes, some are three 10 minute clips. They’re really worth it for folks who really enjoy seeing how videos are made and what Taylor is thinking about when making the video. (And just re the video and assertiveness - yeah, that was the tennis scene. It was homage to Serena Williams being penalized and scolded by referees when male tennis players get away with SO much worse.)

The part that you accidently cut off is the tennis player getting upset and overreacting. This pertained to a famous male tennis player that no one really made a big deal about his outburst and breaking his racket, but when Serena Williams got mad and broke her tennis racket, people were saying she was overreacting. Double standards.
