Lindsey as a teen was a big fan of Amy Lee and Evanescence and always dreamed of working one day with Amy. Lindsey wanted Amy to sing on one of her earlier albums, but Amy couldn't do it at that time. Lindsey worked with Lzzy Hale on the song "Shatter Me". In 2017 Amy invited Lindsey to play on the Evanescence song "Hi-Lo" for their Synthesis album and they toured together that year. Lindsey asked Amy Lee to sing on "Love Goes On and On" which she composed and asked Amy if she would write lyrics for it, she did and this was the result. To this day Lindsey can't believe she's worked with her teen idol.

This is total BS, don't believe this guy's story because they're near the same age. Also, they have performed many, many times at live shows together. In fact it was at one of those shows that Amy Lee requested to sing background vocals in this tune because it was her favorite Halestorm song. Lzzy asked if they could do it as a duet instead. They performed at live on stage and fans loved it resulting in them collaborating to remake the song with Amy Lee in the studio. Not sure where this guy got the whole teen fan thing but maybe he was high and dreamt it?

I enjoyed both songs myself. But that is definitely different from the typical Lzzy Hale songs. Lindsey Stirling and Lzzy Hale also have a song together called "Shatter Me", harder than these, but still not as heavy as Lzzy usually does.

As a long time fan of Halestorm...I would say, try to think of them, not as metal, but just has an amalgamation of Rock, Metal, and rawness. I HIGHLY appreciate that you made a point of saying that the dislike is based on your personal taste, rather than just saying "thing bad because...reasons.", which is something way too many people do. So mad kudos on that. We all like what we like and that's just fine.

I have never listened to Halestorm, but the first time I heard Break In, I just fell in love with it. Their harmony just tears me apart. I like how when lzzy is singing high, Amy is harmonizing below her, and then they switch!! Ugh! It’s so gorgeous. But I’m with you, Amy’s voice is unparalleled. My choir instructor introduced me to Evanescence when the Fallen album came out because he knew I would love her and he was right.

I love your channel and reactions. Honest. So, maybe Lzzy Hale and Halestorm aren't quite your cup of tea. (I LOVE 'em). As at least one other person suggested, I think you'd REALLY like Lzzy with Lindsey in "Shatter Me". There's a behind the scenes video for that too that adds something. Lindsey tells the story of what she was looking for and how she came to meet and become a big fan of Lzzy and Halestorm. (Edit) You made reference to a bit cheesey of lyrics (Halestorm) for your taste. LOL, in the "behind the scenes" video I referred to, Halestorm's lead guitarist noted that exact thing! "Sometimes she just has to give into the cheese".

Also with being new to your channel I'm not too familiar with your taste just yet. That being said, I feel like the Halestorm songs you'd like don't have music videos. In particular: Psycho Crazy, Familiar Taste of Poison (has MV), Bad Girl's World, their cover of Hell is for Children, You Call Me a Bitch Like It's a Bad Thing and Uncomfortable (has MV). I picked something from each album and only one from their cover EP's for some verity.

There are varying opinions on Halestorm/Lzzy Hale. Love it or hate it, Lzzy Hale performs and records a pretty wide range of genres. "Break In" is a song that she wrote and happens to be more of a ballad, where most of her songs tend to be hard rock. Halestorm has several covers ranging between country, pop, heavy metal, classic rock, and more. In my likely controversial opinion, they are all pulled off pretty well, and she applies her own style each time. They aren't all perfect, but I think it successfully proves she has a diverse vocal range and capability.

I think with Halestorm you would most enjoy Back from the dead, Mz Hyde, You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing, I am the fire or I like it heavy. Those have heavier riffs and stronger lyrics. Now behind you I see your stuff you might enjoy the video of hers and song Do not disturb....side note on that song its actually a true story of a time she was in Amsterdam and had a bit of fun and no it's not a tragic or sappy song but it is an eyebrow raising story 😈.

Have you ever cried because you were moved by a cover song rather than the original song? Here's a real example. 'Bridge Over Troubled water' is a very famous masterpiece. So when they hear this song, everyone remembers and misses Simon & Garfunkel's original song. However, when I listen to her cover song, the original song disappears and I struggle with the emotions she conveys, leaving only the two words 'Sohyang' in my head. So she is disruptive and innovative. But above all, warm and hopeful. Now that you have given us good information, the choice is yours. After that, if you like the songs of Korean singer Sohyang, please continue to support her. She is a really good singer.
