Oh Yes. Thanks Chad. JD is an incredible songwriter and singer. He also wrote for the Eagles and Linda Ronstadt, among others. There was a group of 70's California singers/songwriters who included him, Jackson Browne, Linda, Glenn Frey and Don Henley. I bet you like his earlier stuff too. I'm sending a link to Linda Ronstadt's Faithless Love studio version. JD wrote it and sang harmony with her on the 1974 Heart Like a Wheel album. I still have my vinyl. Linda is strong and vulnerable at the same time. She and JD were a thing for a while. I would love you to react to it. I didn't see it on a playlist. kzitem.info/news/bejne/toOL3Wptm4CCa4Y

I loved this song when it came out even though it had that basic I-VI-IV-V chord progression (for the most part) of a lot of doo-wop songs. It may be one of the only JD Souther songs I know. Not sure; would have to look at discography.

I just have to add this. In the old days of music most of the artists had live bands instead of the lip sing to background music some where in studio. I think the best band doing it these days is Nickelback. That's what was so good about growing up in the 60s. There were live bands everywhere. They were called garage bands in the old days. It was a time for music and the whole culture changed everything. If your interested in more Righteous Brothers try Georgia. It's a Bill Medley addition to the guys.
