The lyrics of this song put tears on my eyes. You have to say goodbye to your family when you follow your path. That means being happy and sad at the same time. I got very emotional with the shadows of her parents saying goodbye to her when she departs.

Karmento, Blanca Paloma, Tanxugueiras... They all show the soul of Spain and how different we all are, that's the richness of Spain, that's the reason we should be proud of our multicultural country. Embrace the traditions of each place and just get enchanted by them.

This is actually one of my favourite songs in the entire national final season so far 😅 So I'm beyond thrilled it came together for her. For me, I think its always been about the sentiment she puts into the song that made it shine and she could not have brought that across better in the staging. It was really well done. Thrilled for her.

Karmento started out of all the tops. I didn't even think it was a big bet the first few days. But as I listened to his song more and more, I felt at home. She has a welcoming voice, the best lyrics and message of the entire Benidorm Fest (it's worth subtitled for Europe). And she made a simple, effective bet for everyone. Remembering all rural Spain. Thank you Karmento.

Truly, Karmento's lyrics are worth reading. Talk about dreams, about leaving home and going after them. But you are afraid and at the same time want to succeed. And the love that parents give us so that we leave our home and go out to fight, because there, at home, we will always have their support. Talk about falling down and getting up again. About insisting and getting everything one sets out to do. =)

Karmento is such an amazing communicator, singer and performance and so charismatic. I love this song. I was worried it could get lost in translation without the right staging. My worries were unfounded. The staging was captivating and so effective. Her performance just blew me away. Karmento and Paloma are the strongest contenders vocally, they have a unique Spanish sound, great staging, etc. They are a no brainer. I can listen to commercial hits all year around, don't need to see them in Eurovision. For me Eurovision is about enriching experiences that's what I love to see from other countries, this is what I want other countries to learn from mine. Either of these ladies will make me proud, and if they get nil points, so it be. The fact that the juries have scored Vicco, Alfred or Siderland ahead of Karmento is just ridiculous... Karmento's songs, vocals, performance and staging was on a different league, only matched by Paloma. The jury should be objective. Scores (song quality, vocals, staging, etc.) should never be artificially diminished to favour songs which jurys may personally preferred. Neither Karmento deserved a 6th position in the jury's tally today, neither Tanxugueiras deserved their low score last year. I was pleasantly surprised that the televote put that right and gave Karmento their highest scores.

The song has a deep message. She tells her own story of how she left her hometown and family to start a career as a singer, telling her parents support and like a flame in her inside pushed her to go on despite she had bad moments. In the end the song is about following your dreams and achieving your goals when you've been born to do something. The stage shows rhe atmosphere of the small town she is from and the shadows with the silhouettes of her parents saying goodbye is simply amazing....

This is not what you listen to in Spain, and she is not known. It is an ode to the origins, to the so-called "emptied Spain", which are the villages and their people. The forgotten ones. To the people who leave to fulfil their dreams and the people who stay behind.

@@m4ymo689 Ah a reasoned response. Thank you. I’d like to see something different. I’d hoped it would be Fusa Nocta but will have to wait til Saturday to see. Blanca Paloma would certainly be different and there’s no doubt she has loads of talent. I just don’t think the song reaches international audiences as much as Mi Familia could have. Will be interested to see. 🤔
