Great! Thanks Glenn! Nunca hubiera escuchado esto de no ser aquí. Además estuvo excelente que pusieran varias versiones, incluida esa tan informal del autor, me encantó. Felicitaciones por recibir el vinilo de KMF. The Warning abre fronteras.

Nice presentation, thanks for the introduction to Blaze Foley. Like you, I wasn't aware of his work and it deserves a deep dive. Listening to John Prine here reminds me of a wonderful evening years ago spent watching a group of 4 singer/songwriters live in Hartford, CT at the Bushnell Theater. John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, and Guy Clark (RIP) Just a group of fellas with their guitars and songs - so glad I got to experience it. kzitem.info/news/bejne/s3d4nIuIbHyHhno, Thanks for all your reactions to The Warning, it is a privilege to watch them grow.

Sounds wonderful. Lyle's been touring lately with a fine band that includes Leland Sklar on bass

John Prine is a legend! I was hooked when I heard “Angel From Montgomery” in my junior year in College 1972. This rendition of Clay Pigeons is perfect as is that concert. Great backing band! Thanks for sharing this and props to Pau for her taste!

Loved this…I can see why Pau chills to this song. You may need to look into the French band that Ale seems to enjoy so much.

This is Pau, for sure! This is how most of the songs she wrote started out..... as ballads on the piano! (just like you) Connected random thoughts! Thanks for another View from the Bridge. Keep them coming!

Wow I really enjoyed that song, especially John Prine's version. I am so fascinated to learn about what DPA listen to, they all have very broad musical tastes and I think that positively influences their songwriting. One might assume they listen to nothing but hard rock in their 'down' time, but it's amazing to learn of the breadth of what else appeals to them musically. Thank you for sharing this Glenn!

I went to school at UT Austin, so I know all about the music scene there for a few years in the late 70s and early 80s. I know Austin has changed a lot since then, not all for the good. Mostly it's grown. But I loved Austin. The most un-Texas-like place in Texas for certain. I shared the company of Willie Nelson over a few longnecks. Also saw ZZ Top perform under a pseudonym band name in a small club, which was packed to probably a dangerous excess, as they were warming up to go back on tour. Good memories. The clubs on 6th Street were a distraction that I learned to avoid for the sake of my grades, but that is not to say I didn't take a night off from the books every now and again. Lots of live music there from some obscure bands but also from some folks that made a name for themselves evenually. My roommate was from Austin and he knew all the best places to go for just about anything, of course. Me, I was a transplant originally from Ohio who never seems to stay in one place all that long.

First of all, Ilike to thank Paulina for this video. I've been a fan of all three of these singer songwriters. I have been going to Austin since the 80s so sadly never been to the Armadillo World Headquarters, a music venue that Prine mentioned. Lucinda Williams wrote a song about Blaze Foley called Drunken Angel. She's another great singer songwriter. If I could recommend Lucinda's Right In Time at the Austin City Limits 1998, that chorus gets stuck in my head. There's also a video that I think you would enjoy of Townes Van Zandt sitting in his kitchen with a neighbor singing Waitin' Around To Die. Got my CD in the mail, but I'm still waiting for my vinyl, can't wait, cheers.

Love the Prine version. Kinda wish the piano player would have taken the song off. Every time, it enters the song, it sounds intrusive. So many good Blaze Foley songs and this is the perfect song for Prine to cover.
