They used their blackness, their victimhood to advantage and this happens all the time. It’s just that no one calls them out for it. They don’t want to be labelled as racist. I don’t know a single other nurse, except those of colour, who hasn’t been accused of treating someone a certain way “because I’m black”. Don’t like the visitors policy, Racist. Don’t get seen fast enough or before some other person, Racist. And on and on. Anyone who works in direct service to people experiences the same things.

Just imagine if they were really victims based on their skin color. How would they be able to win? If their skin color makes that much of a difference, then they would've been shut down and voted off right away. Clearly, the oppressed ones here were the non-black participants. It wasn't even specifically the white people, it was anyone who wasn't black. You can clearly see that the way they think is that being black makes them the ultimate victim, and anyone else who may actually be suffering in life, they don't matter as much. It's sickening. I hate that I am associated with these people just by being black myself. I know that if I was on this show, I'd be voted right away. They would automatically assume that I'm white and privileged. I probably wouldn't even be able to speak. The reality is, I have been homeless twice in my life. I lost everything in a fire. The only reason I have money currently is because I've been blessed with scholarships and a wonderful opportunity for a great job. I would forfeit my position knowing well, that I don't actually need the money. My family is incredibly poor. My dad cannot work due to a head injury, and the only reason we're in a home is because God has made it possible by giving us section 8 housing. I don't need that money. I would totally love to have that money, but I don't need it. Out of all those people, the one who needed it most was probably the single mom. She and the guy and gal they voted off first deserved that money far more than any of the others. The reason they deserved it more is that they didn't begin with tearing everyone else down. Anyone willing to beat people down with words for money, will never deserve that money. They're horrible nasty people. I hope they did learn something about their behavior. I hope they rewatch this video, with friends and family, and have their friends and family point out how horrible they were. Sometimes, the only people who can reach you are those closest to you. So maybe it's just the thing they need, having their spouse, mom, or best friend tell them they were wrong and nasty to those people.

After finding out that Ilah Dizon (the single mother) is a SA victim and that’s why she has her baby, and knowing that the guy looked at her and said “you chose to have sex and have the baby”, makes me absolutely disgusted. (That is, if that’s actually the case. I was reading about it in the comments.) Kudos to her for not victimizing herself with them and instead choosing to be a survivor. She did so well and was so empathetic towards them. If that dude said that to me, I would’ve looked at him and been like, “oh that would be lovely if that were the case, but I was actually sexually assaulted. Nice try.” and then I would’ve walked out, but I can see why she wouldn’t say anything. Dealing with people like them, being bullies and being as non-empathetic as they are, they probably would’ve just been like “okay whatever. You’re just saying that. 🙄” She may have not wanted to share that at the time either, especially with them. I read that she was doing better now and posting on KZitem while running her own business or something, so I’m happy for her. ♥️♥️

It can be done jokingly among mates when someone gets their dream job or that girl/boy they were chasing after, at the end of the ribbing and laughs your mates will congratulate you in a quiet and understated way. Or it can be done savagely. No one likes an obnoxious twat. I'm sure you know the type of people I'm talking about. I am a British, white 76 year old woman, and when I first saw Amala, I was charmed, and had to subscribe. Apparently it is not popular now to say I’m colour blind, but that is how I have led my life. She is so articulate, and spot on with her judgement. Sincere best wishes, and future success, you deserve it.

You are so accurate here. The real reason it's become bad to say we treat people as people, y'know, caring more for their character than their color, is that treating people equally takes away the 'specialness' of certain groups. Ones who want everything handed to them without having to work for it. It is truly maddening because the more we are screamed at that a person's only important quality is the color of their skin makes it hard to actually look past that and see a person's character.

What made my blood boil is how Hodan spent the entire time belittling other people’s problems and explanations as to why they could use £1,000, telling them how she was more oppressed and she needed the money more than them, only to switch up in the last second and say “it’s not gonna rock my world if I don’t get the money so I want Shakira to have it”. Two girls there literally volunteered to give plasma for money, and one girl was a young single mom who recently helped her parents out with her kid’s college fund. They could have used the money so much better, even giving it to charity like the first guy suggested, but she refused because she felt like she needed the money more than them, even though she never intended on claiming it for herself. This whole video is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen and I hope the three people left til last look back on this video in shame at their words and actions towards the others

Ironically, the marginalized group was actually the majority and they treated others exactly the same way that they complained about. Treat others the way you want to be treated. This was an eye opening social experiment that truly shows how selfish we can be when it comes to money. The love of money is truly is the root of all evil. Don’t so easily sell your dignity,; live a rich life, not wealthily.
@thegrimharvest
Жыл бұрын
Agree with you, with one slight addendum. Money itself isn't the root cause, it's their love of it, and what they are willing to do to get it, that's evil. The money itself is incidental. What's been demonstrated is the character or lack thereof from the participants. What they are willing to do to "get theirs". And why the ideology that panders to them cannot create, cannot raise up, it can only tear down and subvert. They showed their true nature, and probably didn't lose an ounce of sleep over their behaviors afterwards. Victim mentality leads not to virtue but to cruelty and narcissism.
