I 1000% agree with john about the high floor idea. To me, there's no such thing. If you're drafting a guy because you think that you're going to get their worst, why on earth are you taking them? I mean, Justin Fields can't read a defense, but at least he runs fast! At least he can evade the rush! If you're not going to be physically gifted, you have to be an absolute TECHNICIAN. Brock Purdy can throw with as much anticipation as anyone in the league, he sees the field incredibly well, and he can run a little! If you can't do ALL of those things basically fresh out the box, you're gonna have to have some kind of elite physical trait. Josh Allen has a crazy body, Mahomes and Herbert have insane arms, lamar can run like crazy. Otherwise, you gotta be Joe burrow, CJ Stroud reading the field. Or you need to be a surgical anticipation guy like Brock Purdy. This is the same reason why I am wary of JJ McCarthy. His attitude is way better, but his football ability SCREAMS Mac Jones to me. A little more mobile, and it's a crapshoot regardless, but idk seems like the same kinda high floor, low ceiling guy
