It is very evident that installing Lexus as the leader is taking effect. Because they do not always train with their teachers/ trainers, esp now that they are full fledged artists, so there is a lot of private practice times. The leader's role is to plan, organise and conduct the group practices themselves, and also maintaining a level of motivation and discipline in what is essentially drill sessions. Lexus has a lot of experience in the past in Kpop group dances, having competed and performed in many places. She is a major asset and reason in raising the performance standard of the group. A leader in such a situation is both a captain and a teacher. groups where we have seen in videos leader playing this role very clearly is Yujin of IVE and Solar of Mamamoo.

I agree, Lexi seems to be a strong and effective leader! And she will only grow and improve over time.

The reason why Lexi is the best choice as a leader is because before A2K she was in a KPop-Dance Cover Crew. She knows well how to practice and how to organize and manage. Even tho this is real business now, she had the best knowledge and she will keep growing. Also the trainers voted her as the most kind so it will be easier for them to communicate between trainers/staff and the group.

They have a steep learning curve. In A2K everybody showed that they can sing and even rap in Korean. Is there any information as to them learning how to speak Korean? Based on A2K I would at least assume that they will sing English/Korean type of KPOP songs too.

Yes, they are learning! In a live, Kaylee said that Kendall and Savanna are the best at it so far :)

Singing in another language is easier than actually speaking it though. Many people can sing English songs without being able to speak or comprehend English for example. That said, actually living in Korea makes it a lot easier to immerse yourself in the language and learn it faster.

Singing in another language is definitely easier. That’s a lot of what singing opera was, focusing on pronunciation in different languages. And it’s definitely easier to learn a language when you’re immersed!

I also noticed how sometimes SeVit was referred to as a single when it's more like an EP. Of its songs, Y.O.Universe was my favorite off the bat. It took up until recent days for Go Getter to grow on me. And likewise, Know Me Like That will take longer for me to like. Timeline-wise, I figure in the past month or two they've likely been recording their new songs already. Based on how past groups debuted, do you think their debut will include a whole album or just a few songs?
@StayMultiverse

I think I agree with you, Y.O.Universe is my favorite, then Go Getter, then Know Me Like That. I think the debut will probably be an EP. I don’t expect a full album until at least a year after debut. But you never know!

You know what I was thinking the same thing the other day like I wonder how long it’s going to be before they actually debut because I want music videos I want live performances right now, but I understand that there’s a lot of grooming and things that need to take place, so I kind of don’t want to rush it but I just hope their actual debut doesn’t take like a whole year or two from now if that makes any sense

Maybe it's just pure coincidence, but i can't help but feel like i'm noticing that a lot of their choreo includes one member being directly behind the centre, to the point of being completely hidden from front view and i can't help but feel like it's related to the even number of members :( BUT THEIR DANCE IS SO GOOD THOUGH
@StayMultiverse
8 ай бұрын
That does happen with even member groups! It just means they take turns making sure everyone has moments in the front! I think I’m just used to it with most the groups I follow having an even number. I agree!!!
@ArielSupp

I think the advantage of having an even number is that you can make some nice little effects with someone behind and having an illusion of an odd number. But usually that's not a problem when the choreo has a lot of formation changes, so even if one member is behind in one part, they will have their moment to shine later! And to be honest as a dancer myself, I don't mind being behind someone for a short period of time if it will make the choreo look better :)

After watching these dances, it becomes more apparent that they should have added a 7th member. Odd number groups make the dance formations look better since there is a center. With even numbers, one member inevitably gets blocked by the foreground dancer. On a positive note, they look pretty good for an idol group that's been formed over a short period of time unlike most idol groups that's had years of training.

I don’t know, I’m a fan of Ateez and Stray Kids who both have 8 members so I’m used to even number group formations. I do think they have a very strong start and will only improve from here!
@gorillaofjohn15

Totally disagree. It should never be a priority to plan around fixed numbers. This is just like people saying that Kpop should have a certain sound, a certain look. Must have rap in the middle. Pre-chorus should be this or that. Anything that limits things to a certain perception of correctness or a matter of personal comfort is small minded and kills off any creativity very quickly. Just some some groups that had become legends, or a currently having great success with strong performance elements SNSD : 8 (Jessica left but they didnt replace) Stray Kids : 8 Everglow: 6 StayC: 6 2PM : 6 monsta X: 6 IKON: 6 IVE: 6 arteez: 8 fromis_9: 8 some prominent groups that originally debuted as even numbers from the start : Lesserafim, Gidle.
@rurounij

@@gorillaofjohn15 Then they (choreographers) need to be more creative with the choreography, because some elements of the formations could look better visually.
