Yes ❤️🔥 Truth thank you … we’re doing “pack walks” now (with one of our many previous trainers) 1-2 x a week with slow, but steady progress 💓 She’s a covid 2020 puppy with epilepsy 👏 She wants to be a “working” dog 🐾🐾 I want a SD .. bonded 3 yrs 🙇♀️ So just when I thought I knew enough, after 40 yrs of AKC GSD’s, this one’s a true “working” dog & wld rather be a police/mil dog. Reshaping life as a senior lol

Hi There, Reactivity is a complex topic that can get a bit complicated to deal with- far too much to cover in one short video. We do have a whole course on Reactivity which you can find here: spiritdogtraining.com/tackling-reactivity-course/ We cover a variety of different types of reactivity. From reactivity on leash, around the house with visitors, along fence lines, in the car etc. The lessons come with written and video instructions and printable PDF files for easy access. Our courses also come with trainer support as we understand that everyone's situation is a little bit different and unique. So if you have any questions along the way, you can reach out directly on the course and one of our trainers will be happy to help :)

So what should I do? What are some habits that help them not flip out to other dogs?

Reactivity is a complex topic that unfortunately cannot be appropriately and properly covered in shorts/reels. For a better understanding on our dog's reactivity and how to work with them, it's best to work with a trainer. We offer a Tackling Reactivity program that you can read about here if you are interested: spiritdogtraining.com/tackling-reactivity/

@@spiritdogtraining update! Been doing this today and it's been doing good. I see the light at the end of the tunnel, REALLY opened up my eyes to how much I amp my dog up. We even successfully walked by a cat with nothing but a "leave it". Thank you.

@@jasperavery46my dog has made a 180 on walks so idk about that. He no long reacts to dogs or cats on walks. He just stares at me in the what was previously reactive setting ( walking past a cat or dog ) he's been great. So I'm not sure where you're getting this from, I'm not saying it's the answer to all dogs but it definitely has its place. And for me this did it.

@@14_Scar_14 I would take a look at our Tackling Reactivity course in that case. Our course uses a training method called “counterconditioning”. Counterconditioning aims to create a new conditioned emotional response to triggers. This way, when your dog sees (or hears) a trigger, instead of feeling uncomfortable, on edge, and scared the dog will feel calmer and more relaxed. To simply put it, we are creating new associations through set up situations, management and encouraging lots of calm behaviour. We cover a variety of different types of reactivity. From reactivity on leash, around the house with visitors, along fence lines, in the car etc. The lessons come with written and video instructions and printable PDF files for easy access. Our courses also come with trainer support as we understand that everyone's situation is a little bit different and unique. Didn't you listen? You don't. You don't correct anything. You just do other things. When reactivity happens, you do nothing. That's what the video states to do.
