O God, we have heard with our ears, and our fathers have told us of the work that you did in their days, in the days of old.
Your hand has destroyed the nations, but you have planted them; you have smitten the tribes and driven them out.
For they did not inherit the earth with their sword, and it was not their arm that saved them, but your right hand, and your arm, and the illumination of your face, for you were well pleased with them.
You yourself are my King and my God, who gives salvation to Jacob.
With you we will strike our enemies with horns, and in your name we will destroy those who rise up against us.
For it is not in my bow that I trust, and my sword will not save me., -
For you have saved us from those who oppress us and have put to shame those who hate us.
We will praise God all day long, and praise your name forever!
But now you have rejected and put us to shame, and you will not go out, O God, among our armies.
He turned us back before our enemies, and those who hate us plundered themselves.
You have given us up as sheep to be eaten, and you have scattered us among the tribes,
Your people gave it away for a song, and there was no crowd at our exclamations.
You have made us a reproach to our neighbors, a mockery and a mockery to those around us.
You have made us a parable among the tribes, they shake their heads about us among the nations.
All day long my shame is before me, and the shame of my face has covered me
from the voice of the offending and accusing, from the face of the enemy and the persecutor.
All these things have come upon us, and we have not forgotten you, nor have we done unrighteousness in your covenant,
and our heart did not turn back. And You have turned our paths away from Your way,
For you have humbled us in the place of calamity, and the shadow of death has covered us.
If we have forgotten the name of our God, and if we have stretched out our hands to a strange god -
Will not God punish you for this? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
For they kill us every day for your sake, they have considered us to be sheep being slaughtered.
Wake up, why are you sleeping, Lord? Rise up and do not reject to the end!
Why do you turn away your face, and forget our poverty and our sorrow?
For our soul is humbled to the dust, our womb has sunk to the ground.
Arise, O Lord, help us, and deliver us for your name's sake!
