That's a f'n killer guitar, no matter what those haters on Reddit say.

I believe personally that while relics might give the user a certain "depreciation" in authenticity at the same time they are indeed a work of art and to me are comparable to vintage styled paintings not disimilar to neo-vintage illustrations made by artists such as Migy or Caroline Church. Top it off with the fact that a person like George who lives for the strings has extensive experience with guitars and shows it, then I don't really see the problem with someone choosing a stylized piece of his liking. Correct me if I'm wrong but rustic style decor and house furnishing has become all the rage and I for one am on the band wagon!

It always cracks me up when people snivel about someone else’s property like their tiny opinion’s actually mean something. They don’t.

Hey it’s the closest to the feel of a vintage guitar, and vintage guitars feel special, worn Nitro feels great. My 2004 CS is a NOS nitro it’s naturally quite dinged up from the previous owners, but it’s so thick, it doesn’t feel like a vintage thin lacquer, still feels better than poly but worn, thin nitro is really nice.

Exactly! It's a cosmetic choice. People attack your character if you like relic guitars

It seems like a placebo type of thing. Just because it looks "old" you automatically assume it plays and sounds like an "old" guitar. It's a brand new guitar, period. Every one of them is made with "new" components including the woods. You bought a "new" guitar.

Haha you got to admit it's a little bit weird to buy a guitar that is pre-worn. That's like buying those jeans that have a bunch of holes in them, like why bro?

It's not for everyone. You either like it or you don't. It definitely looks and feels great in my opinion

I mean, like he said, price is the worst part of classic collecting and especially on nice relics, everybody knows, it’s impossible to make a guitar look like that without playing it for countless years, and for guitarist it’s always about the look because they’re snobs. lol
