@@JokerInk-CustomBuilds Unfortunately, that's the way it works. A few people always ruin it for the rest of people. And until everyone is on board with teaching people that touching other people without consent no matter how they're dressed is bad, we have to teach people how not to draw attention to themselves. It's awful but we have to keep people safe somehow and often people are so set in their ways that it's nearly impossible to change. It's why we have laws. It's incredibly and truly tragic and there are many, many people trying to change the way society thinks from "Here's what *you* need to do to not get r***ed" to "Don't f**king r*** people!" One day, we won't have to live according to the few insane members of society and will begin living according to the common sense people of society. But we are still a long ways off from that.

My last abuser even had "Protector" tattooed on his wrist. Found me at my most vulnerable time, and took advantage. Be careful, kids. No matter how smart or tough you think you are, it can easily happen to you. They have a way of making you confused and feel like you're going crazy.

Onision’s “about the author” section: “I am Gregory Jackson, I use the name "Onision" online to represent myself. To be blunt, Stones to Abbigale is the first book I've ever written. I haven't even read a book cover to cover in about 14 years aside from Stones To Abbigale. The above information might be enough to make most readers run, but it's the truth. Regardless, I wrote Stones to Abbigale from the heart. One of the best ways to better understand who I am is to read the book. Learning about James means learning about me. I don't want to sell this book, I want Stones To Abbigale to sell itself, so if you're not interested, I hope you find a book you want to read elsewhere soon. You could summarize this book to: The overdramatic, brooding, angsty main-character James has obsessive tendencies & a savior complex, also suffers from delusions of grandeur (especially about his intellect). Every other character has no real personality & exists only to reinforce those his savior complex & delusions of grandeur. Abby is basically just a professional victim who constantly tells James how awesone he is. Thats it. We learn of no other personality characteristics beyond how she was victimized by basically everyone she ever knew. Davis (the best friend) exhibits childlike stupidity with such enthusiasm that it is often situationally & age inappropriate, & he never has more than an aquaintance-like conversation with James despite allegedly being his best friend. Davis exists for 4 reasons: so the readers don't think Greg had no friends in highschool, to compliment James (aka Greg) incessantly, to later die which allows James to do his overdramatic suffering act which makes it clear the writer has never mourned anyone & so Davis's mom can give the world's dumbest eulogy where she basically sucks James off with how complimentary she is. James's mother doesn't exist for all practical purposes because she doesn't parent nor influence the "story." Abby's dad is a generic abusive, drunk asshole who exists so James can fulfill his savior complex by rescuing a delicate little flower. Its the same with both Abby's ex boyfriend, the generic abusive jock (turned school shooter for no discernible reason) & with the generic crazy pro-life teacher & part-time arsonist. There is a school shooting, a presidential visit, a fatal car accident, a funeral, an arson, & lots emo rambling. The writing in this book is awful. That's all you need to know. You're welcome. Lol

Though he had an amazing way of writing (not saying) people were like aliens or a different species, but he described it like the movement of bones and crunching of teeth, or how their facial features adjusted to the feeling or situation. This was 10 years ago so I don't quite remember everything, but something traumatic happened to him... and I'm pretty sure he had a personality disorder and so he spoke from that point of view. I dont remember what it was called or who wrote it. But I want to read it again to see if it is still as great as I have made it in my head. If this sounds familiar to anyone let me know!!

I think the issue with "literally" is probably that there's no point in using it in a story. In a story, most things are "literally" happening, and those that aren't will typically be self-labeling similes (that is, the "like" or "as" gives away that they are metaphorical). While in normal conversation it's very common to use hyperbole, suspension of disbelief dictates that written prose needs to mostly represent what is actually happening in the story or else we can't trust the senses we're provided as the narrator becomes wholly unreliable. Thus, unlike in conversation - where "literally" is a useful disclaimer against the assumption of exaggeration (when used correctly) - using it in a book is redundant, and only serves to break suspension of disbelief by reminding the reader that what they're reading is, in fact, a book rather than some other world that we're peering into through the medium of text.

I think I finally figured out his books after listening to KrimsonRogue, StrangeAeons' review and then you licking your upper lip solved it all for me. Stones: A love letter to his failed relationship with Billy and how he viewed himself during that relationship, like he thought himself the victim over everything. 2nd book: His failed relationship with Sarah and how he thought himself the victim over everything. 3rd book: his Freudian slips resulting in a book filled with a sexual relationship between an older person and an illegally younger person that should be used against him in court considering that his daughter was named after the main female character until he changed her name and his own delusions of grandeur thinking that his views on religion are literally killing God that just happens to be evil in his book. His entire series of books is like an evolution of Chris Hansen's investigation. It's hilarious because this is a character I've seen in media done well. Izaya Orihara from the Durarara light novels is essentially this, but it is played fundamentally detrimental to the character and his own psyche. A character segregated from the highly collectivist society that is Japan by being different and emotionally neglected by his parents as a child never had any stable adult figures to mirror how to function in such a society. And when his parents were present, he was instead encouraged to be the outside observer, never taught how to form true connections to others. But all the while desperately longing for those normal human relationships. Emotionally stunted. Living outside the boundaries of society makes him cool to the readers but horribly pathetic within his own universe.

Lol is Greg sure that his dead friend wasn’t actually gay and had a crush on him? That would explain Davis being jealous of Abby. Though I definitely hope he didn’t talk like that IRL.

I just realized if someone doesn't tell you this is supposed to be a Love story the most common interpretation is that this is the prologue to a series about a serial killer.
