I loved the Russian Phonogram lesson! It really make me want to be more patient as I teach my kids. I guess I didn't really understand the amount of thinking and focus that is needed to learn to write and read phonograms. P.S. I have watched a handful of reading videos on youtube this morning but, yours are the easiest to listen to. I'm going to try speaking more sweetly/smiling like you do in my lessons with my little children. It's so much more engaging!

@@LogicofEnglish I think this video downloaded some 7years ago. Your reply to my coment is certainly appreciated. I have seen so many videos imparting English language classes. But your's is of higher level and it attracts me so much. You seem to be a scholar of the subject and a committed teacher. Thank you very much.

Why you are not explain sound on cardinal vowel . I think use cardinal vowel helps to understand the position of the mouth . For example, /ī /is in front , lips tenses , unrounded lips and mouth is slightly open . .......

The phonogram x, doesn't it have two sounds? There is the /ks/ as in "ox" and the /z/ as in "xylophone." Are they different or am I totally off? Another question--totally off topic and just for curiosity purposes--why do you pronounce "begin" as "began" most of the time?
