I mean….you can’t really do much with stand-alone decorations, poor David 😅 He’s such a good sport. The lemon rosemary cupcakes sound intriguing, love lemon and the more lemon flavor, the better! Had oral surgery yesterday so I binged half of “Nobody Wants This” last night and will watch the remaining half today. It was just green lighted for a second season! Not sure on what my first book that I read on my own was….I learned to read very, very young. I can’t remember not reading. Maybe Mr. Schnitzel’s Cookies? I loved that book and I was probably 3ish.

I had a good laugh with you trying to coax Daphne, the things we do with our pets! I can't quite remember the first book I read by myself, so I'll go with my first book in school, and that was Roger Red Hat, I loved that book! But it could have been a Rupert The Bear Annual or Twinkle Annual. Definitely showing my 46 years age! Best Wishes 💕

I remember the first book I read by myself was Are You My Mother? I recently found a copy of it and hope to read it to my grandchildren one day.

I don't know if it's really the first book I read all by myself. But I remember getting a book about dolphins for my 8th birthday which was during the summer holiday after my first year at school (Back then it wasn't uncommen for children starting school at the age of 7 in Germany) and surprising my mother that I had read it by lunch time all by myself

I recently went on holiday to the beach with my husband. We were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary. I found a great cross stitch store and left with 12 patterns.😱 If I asked my husband if he would like to learn how to cross stitch, he would drive me to hospital and tell the staff that I had a brain tumor because I was talking nonsense.😂 My library 🇺🇸 has some really good cross stitch books and cross stitch magazines online. I don’t know about libraries in the UK, but it is an option here in the US. Cheers.

My memory isn't great but I think the books I learnt to read with at school were Dick and Dora books (showing my age?!!). The Ladybird books always give me a nostalgic feeling, we had a few of them as children, and Noddy! Those were the days!! Great vlog again 👍😊xx

I don’t remember the first book I read alone. But I do remember reading under the covers after lights out with a glow-worm squeezed between my knees 😂 I also clearly remember reading a book of fairy tales by Terry Jones which I still have and love.

I don't know the first book I read and finished by myself but I remember the first book where I was reading and understanding words was a Magic School Bus book! Then I got car sick because I was reading in the car. Those cupcakes sounded divine! I've seen lots of people recommend Lolly Willowes over the years but I've not read it yet. Great vlog! Thank you for sharing

Hello there Lauren, I just wanted to ask if you are doing vlogmas this year, I love it. I wonder if you have watched my two favourite Christmas films, the first is so funny The Flint Street Nativity, it is a school nativity play but the children are all played by well known actors, there is jealousy as to who is playing Mary, you would love it. Also one that I always have to watch is a ghosty one, The Amazing Mr Blunden, it is heart-warming and lovely. I am watching all your back catalogue and loving it so much. ❤ Jo

Two bakes in one day -- hello Mary Berry! I hope your mom liked the lemon curd cupcakes. I love mappo tofu...nom nom. I searched for a Christian Bale & Adam Brody movie online and I couldn't find one. What is it called? My sister taught me to read before I went to school -- I'm not sure how she did it? I think that set me up to love reading. If you're still trying to listen to a new contemporary musician each month I have a suggestion - Chappell Roan. You probably have already heard of her - but I thought I'd mention her just in case. She has witty lyrics and sounds like Kate Bush meets Cyndi Lauper meets Lana del Rey. Her songs as super catchy. Also, I've found a new to me booktuber you might like. She's a Liverpudlian - What Rae Reads.
