One of my favorite bands of all time. Very difficult to find live performances; I saw them in Mannheim Germany late 80’s when they performed a free concert at the Sullivan Barracks Mannheim Sports Arena. How cool! And the brothers PLAYED INSTRUMENTS-something Prince always talked about, that we needed more of…God bless.

Love this group. It's hard for younger people to understand that people actually played their own instruments, actually sang their OWN songs live, songs that they actually wrote and made them original hits, they didn't take other people's songs or sample them, loop them but they sang with no auto tunes. This is what made them the best and their fans always appreciated it. Not to mention the showmanship and great choreography.

Yep. People today go to concerts and pay good money to go to them and they be on their phones during performances 🤨🙄!! Or they hold up their phones to tape the performances instead of just standing there or sitting there watching a performance they paid for.

Prince wrote a song called "Lady Cab Driver" three years earlier. This is a direct rip-off of the tune and Prince's style. They really just changed the lyrics. They're lucky that Prince didn't sue them for using his beat and music.

@@Victoryshout_nz Man, shut your jealous ass up. Prince was well known to have people or do it himself in terms of seeing if people sampled or used his shit. @gmcneoplan84
2 жыл бұрын
If your ass knew anything about record companies or Soul Train, you would know that a lot of times those two entities ain't got time to hook up wires and shit for EVERY performance. This song was performed live so much in the 1985-1986 period that for Soul Train, MCA was like, look Ready for The World, just bring the keyboards, guitars, use Soul Train's microphone and some other equipment they provide and do the damn song. Like I said, it's humanely impossible and too time consuming to hook up sound and other music equipment for every performance of a hit song.

You all realize this is at best an instrumental track with live vocals. There's no way in hell that you could play a bassline so intricate while doing a dance routine.
