Bullying never stops. My friend had long hair and was bullied incessantly for it, so she cut it and well, now she's bullied for looking like a boy. You can't win, they will always find something else to bully you for no matter what you do to change. So, better to ignore them and just make yourself happy. And tell an adult.

Turns out a bad relationship with food can start out at birth. My middle son would always get upset if he couldn't have access to food. Throughout his years growing up I'd find food containers and his bedroom. A weight problem I couldn't control. Fortunately he was younger and he was able to keep his weight at a maintenance level. But when he was 20 he came over for dinner I was late getting home, he asked me how long dinner would take cuz he was hungry. Just walking in the door I said about a half hour. He leaned against the wall and slid down and cried like a baby. Right out of left field. Well he's no longer with us. And I didn't identify those behaviors as something important It was 40 years ago when he was young. Don't take any once advice see a counselor. Make sure you know what that is all about. Because you can identify it you have a heads up that I didn't. Also you have me letting you know to look somewhere else for the problems or the answers to your solution. I didn't have that either. Good luck to you Good luck to your son. He's lucky to have you identifying issues He doesn't even yet know why he has. You're a good mom!

Mine get like that and I'll tell them to stop acting that way because I'm not a pushover and once they hear my tone of voice and a time out they do it. @@karensharp5023 that's not worrying and nagging thats just teaching your children to try stuff. If your doctor says not eating veggies is okay than okay you know some people only eat fruit but that doesn't make it nagging when you're a worried parent and that's not necessarily true. I was q very picky child when I was little qnd was told all the time to eat my veggies qnd fruit I didn't want to but now as a grown adult with children I see why it's important to get them to try it . All kids are different just because one does something that the other doesn't do doesn't mean anything but as a parent you have to make sure they get the right nutrition no matter whether they like it or not it leads to malnutrition their teeth can rot and become brittle all types of stuff.

EXACTLY! As soon as you introduce food, introduce a range of healthy and less healthy food. If you teach them moderation at a young age, they will keep that for the rest of their lives. @@mackenziewesten8506 same here. All the kids in my class got a snack to school..no chocolate or such but apple or biscuits. When they got home they got one piece of candy. I got nothing. @@yes2day100 I’m well aware of the fact that he was eating sweets but the point is if you keep the cupboards locked and limit him to how much he can eat in a day he’s not going to learn to eat in moderation but instead develop bad eating habits I mean my parents never cut us off from the pantry we were allowed to eat what we want when we wanted to and I have developed fairly healthy eating habits because I learned to eat in moderation if you teach that to your child you’ll get a lot further than cutting off their access to food

Teaching them to eat in moderation is technically restricting their food intake. You can't teach them to eat healthy without preventing them from eating unhealthily. Also, children have to be taught to develop self-control. Part of that is teaching them self-denial.

I feel for Josh, I really really do. I was bullied as a kid but I was lucky, my parents where always very loving and supportive of me. I would be able to come home and talk to them about what happened at school. They would listen, sympathize and talk to me about the best ways to handle the situation and what I could do. As for the sneaking junk food one...why is there so much of it and why isn't it monitored? You are teaching them bad eating habits letting them do that. We always had to ask if we wanted something from the fridge or cupboard/pantry. We actually loved to snack on carrots so mom would have a big bag of full carrots in the fridge that where free for snacks almost anytime.

Believe it or not having to ask permission for food is what creates food insecurities. My other two children never had an eating disorder sometimes that is genetic. Emotional issues can be genetic. It's nobody's fault. I certainly don't feel it was my fault that my middle son had a food issue. As it was my husband's side of the family that had obesity issues. It's all connected nothing to be upset about. Especially if you want to resolve an issue you have to face it first.

I ended up “eating my feelings” and my highest weight was 270lbs when I was 23, had gastric sleeve surgery to fix the weight issue, now I’m 150lbs and working on the mental health issues. Idk for sure in. this case, but it has something to do with traffic patterns. The cars parked on the left while Jo's driving. But later in the day, that lane can change to driving lane. Parking lane for a specific times, driving lane for other times. I saw this couple of times when visiting UK. I think limited available land is the reason. Also I've seen lanes change directions depending where most of traffic is moving. For example, AM rush hour and PM rush hour... same lane different directions.

If my child ever threw anything at me in anger, he would get a very very stern reprimand. You wouldn’t catch me just sitting there and taking it! Im not a parent yet, but I feel like that child acts out due to the parenting or lack there of when it comes to discipline. My mom gave me a look (I’m 34 now, and she still does!) and I was on the straight and narrow in less than 1 second flat.

She didn't just start out with throwing you a look, she had to have laid down the law in other ways before. When they're sitting at the table and he throw something you have to remember it's on camera and they're having a discussion with Jo about his anger problems and the reasons behind it. It would not have been inappropriate time to respond with anger. Parenting seems black and white until you actually try it.
