To help save fuel I sometimes use cruise control to maintain my speed along stretch of roads where appropiate road conditions are safe to use it

I rented a 2004 one once and got 49mpg on biodisel up and down mountain roads fully filled with baggage. I thought it would be getting way better fuel economy 15 years later. I swear the 2014ish ones got 70mpg.

@@m.r.2718 it's possible to get 4.5 combined. Clio is a less heavy car so it should be better then 4.9. It all depends how and where you drive.

You assume the odometer in the car is accurate. Why? Is the rolling circumference of the tyre the same as the the manufacturer's spec? If you're doing this test, you need more science before pointing out inaccuracies in others...

Funny you made this video, I started to suspect that my (exact same) Clio was doing the same. It became obvious when after a 15km trip the remaining distance “left in the tank” shrunk by 30km.

Had a feeling this was the case. I’m on 54 but do mostly town driving. I also have an issue with the dials, I have the sport dials (rev counter) on because that’s the only settings where the graphics don’t glitch. I would prefer the Eco style but when that’s on, the widgets don’t align with the background and it looks daft…
