How about the people that have never smoked anything and get lung cancer ?? 🤔🤔🤔...🤔

I know this was posted 8 years ago but the fda just release studies that showed cigar smokers have “nearly nil” risk when smoking. Lung cancer is impossible unless your uneducated with cigars and inhale all the time. The only cancer risk is mouth cancer and that boils down to dental care. If you regularly brush your teeth like any decent human being, the risk becomes nearly %0.

Richard Overton, oldest living WW2 veteran. Recently passed away at the age of 112 years old and smoked up to 12 cigars a day, never inhaling. I'll leave this up for debate

People down here saying stuff like “my grandpa smoked 60 cigars a day and lived to 119” are basically saying “if you never had an accident driving it means driving is completely safe”. Anedoctal evidence at its finest

I am a welder. There are a lot of dangerous fumes and shit that I breathe in all the time. And based on personal experiences and opinion, I’d say that the fumes from welding are far more dangerous than cigar smoke. Thats just my opinion though.

George Burns was asked, what do your doctors think about you smoking 10 cigars a day? He said, I don't know, they are all dead...

"You can increase your risk of lung cancer by AT LEAST 50%"? I know this video is 9 years old but I'd love to see a source on that statistic. Modern studies have shown that 1-2 cigars a day has no discernible impact on your risk of developing cancer, so I have no idea how many cigars you have to smoke a day to increase your risk by "AT LEAST" 50%.

Agree. That's a realistic answer. Stay away from stress and reduce the risk even more.

There is no safe level of tobacco use. That said, risk factors can and do vary. Cigarettes are coffin nails. Period. Cigars and pipe smoking are roughly similar in their risk factors. Both have lower risk of lung cancer, and higher risk of various oral cancers and cancers of the throat/esophagus. Light smoking is less dangerous than heavy smoking. Occasional smoking is less dangerous than light smoking. Rare smoking (1-3x a year) is less dangerous than occasional smoking and probably has a lower risk of causing premature death than some other activities like scuba diving, rock climbing or riding a motorcycle.

Per New England journal of medicine as sited by the FDA up to 3 cigars a day is no increase to cancerous risk than a baseline non smoker.

Lower risk than lung cancer, but probably boosts your chance of oral cancer. And for the people saying about the 112 year old guy, everybody is different, just because he lived to be 112 doesn’t mean by any chance you will if you smoked cigars on a regular basis.

The chances for lung cancer are most likely considerably lower if you try to avoid second hand smoke by smoking outside.

Earalino Mastri smoked an average of 3 cigars a day, drank anisette and wine daily, and ate whatever seafood he could catch...66 of the 93 yrs he lived. He died Tuesday in an accidental fire he started in bed. Drunk, with a cigar. Funny but true story. Old wise mentor of mine.

In fact if you drink water you can increase the risk of stomach cancer at least 50% relative to people that never drink water
