Not the so called Shaolin taught in America but real training. Americans are easily misled in the arts and tend to gravitate to garbage of progressed advancements of colored belts. I've seen a 2nd degree instructor actually run with fear from a brown belt who wasn't afraid to fight and get hit when sparring in Tae Kwon Do and Although never ranked, I sent one of her rude and smartaleck students flying with a Jeet Kine Do move stunning the grand master and entire class as they were wide eyed and speechless. A male instructor at the same school told me anyone can punch. I told him he's never been hit by a real boxer. I've been knocked out and the reflexes were fat faster than ,ost martial artist practitioners. I also laughed when a ex Hells Angel biker who could lift a motor out of a vehicle without use of a cherry picker nailed two 2X4's stop each other across a open doorway and broke them with one open palm strike. Sometimes it's best to know when to run and in his case, that's why firearms were invented.

Traditional Chinese Martial Arts can't even survive an octagon. Let alone a modern battlefield. I know this from personal experience in both.

I agree with you brother 😅 I've always imagined Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira, Mc Gregor....vs some Kung Fu masters.... Truth is in a prolonged cage match, Kungfu guys might not be well equiped to endure the fatigue, randomness and unpredictable rythm of the fight. But mind you, mixed martial arts is world best because it combines all kinds of martial arts...kung fu included....meaning these guys take whats useful from each.... Just like bruce lee did....and for the same reason...i prefer jeet Kune do

"Martial" arts means war fighting not a sport. Either on the front lines or guerilla style like SEALs. Otherwise it's self-defense or full body boxing like MMA, UFC, or Muay Thai. Real war fighting is about overwhelming force, nothing fair about it.

Traditional martial arts existed way before modern gladiatorial octagon sports competition. Martial arts in the East has much deeper meaning than just fighting . It's as it says in itsef an art. People practice it for many reasons such as health promoting ,discipline, as a hobby ,an art, self protection , learning a traditional knowledge, cultural understanding ,etc.. Chinese Martial arts is somehow the father of almost every martial arts that exist today.

@@pietrogiuanni4432 Eh. Pankration actually existed long before kung fu. So those gladitorial sports actually pre date it. But yeah. Englightnement is cool. And while the more practical Japanese styles do have some influence from Kung Fu, I wouldnt call it the father of modern martial arts. More like the estranged uncle who never shows up at family reunions.
