My favorite reverb is still my Danelectro Spring King, with a built-in kick pad to make it sound like you've tossed your amp down a flight of stairs.

Sweet. I’m going to start designing one now. (Not to sell, just for me and my brother) Thank you for the inspiration!

Really great technical walk through and tones. Yea past 1’oclock that probably could only be used in some type of ambient mix. I do love the shift this year with builders having the wet and dry mix knobs separate. More control.

I’m sure it was Hammond who introduced spring reverb for their organs. Fender then licensed it for their original Spring Reverb unit and after a few years it was incorporated into Fender’s amps but it was originally an outboard unit.

With that Wet control past 12 'o clock this pedal turns into an Atmospheric Black Metal/DSBM Machine!! That sound is incredible!!

I made my own by using a spring reverb tank and a tube screamer essentially as the preamp. Works great.

I've wanted to try this with the tank I replaced in my amp. Can you point me in the right direction? My amp didn't push the tank very hard so it was always too subtle, I want to drive it hard and get some trashy nastiness from it if possible

Interesting. I'm not big on reverb myself, but I must admit that the springs did produce are much more rich reverb than the options on my Boss digital.

I can see this with a gunned wet control used all over post-rock. If only *shels would bless us with another album in our lifetimes.

That thing is rad. Does it drip though? At $385 USD I'd wait to find one on the used market. I've never spent more than $250 on a single effect, excluding a near mint condition 1981 EHX Polychorus, but that particular one is actually vintage, getting rare and collectible, and is more like 4 effects in one box, although you can't use more than one mode at a time. If they could get the price down to under $300, I would consider picking one up new.

A Pedal that contains reasons 3, 5, and 7 for getting a Fender Dual Showman Reverb. Reverb, Overdrive, Higher gain than earlier Twin Reverbs. (Think 135 Watt TFL 5000D style Fender Amps, late 1970's Twins also apply, but wouldn't throw Basses, Bass VI's, or Baritones through a 2X12" combo amp.) Sincerely Mike B. B. From Philly, P.A. U.S.A.

Reverb is not a go to effect for me. However, this pedal seems very versatile. Definitely worth checking into.
