I'd look down and see an upcoming crack in the sidewalk, then it would be closer than it was supposed to be then i had passed it. Like watching a movie that keeps jumping ahead a frame or two without stopping. I'd feel a rhythmic buzzing all over. Almost like a mini version of what was coming. @@ArcaneNiles17 you can have migraine induced seizures, also a seizure isn't just shaking on the ground foaming at the mouth, it can also be just shaking a part of the body (e.g. blinking rapidy, hand or leg shaking, which is different from stimming, because you're not fully conscious) or just being absent, which can last a few seconds or minutes, so if you have the impression of time traveling forward, it might be seizures, which may or may not be photosensitive. While, the 3 main Abrahamic religions(& offshoots), Hinduism, early-Bhuddism, and the much older 1st to 8th dynasty Egyptians viewed/view it as an “intrusion” into the body by ethereal beings / gods in their separate mythologies. Do a quick search for the: Koren/God Helmet, which was developed at the Laurentian University in Canada, and also the subsequent replication studies. The transcranial magnetic stimulation helmet put regular people into a very suggestive state, where, seemingly depending on beliefs or lack thereof, the results ran along 2 specific outcomes. The participants would either “sense” the presence of either god/angels/divinity in the room; *or* they would “sense” Alien(s), a “Universal Consciousness,” or another sort of non-religion-specific supernatural entity. The replication studies even had the same results when the machine was fake, but the participants were told they could expect to feel either way.

Story time. In highschool my driving class instructor was telling us about his open heart surgery and one of my class mates fell out of his chair and started seizing. The girl next to him says "teacher I think he's having a seizure". The teacher looks over his podium and says "yep" lets him finish and takes him to the office. The moment the door closes another classmate falls out of his chair and starts shaking. His friend gets up says "that's not funny" and kicks him in the head. He stops shaking and gets up into his desk and looks dazed. The teacher comes back and we tell him that the other kid seized as well. He takes him to the office. The door closed and the friend has this look of horror on his faces and tells the class his realization, "oh he wasn't faking."

I’m an epileptic, and had this happen to me. It actually caused the seizure because I was already immensely stressed and apparently that was the breaking point. Freaked the hell out of the lady, because I was just explaining why I needed to leave the room to calm down because of stress-induced epilepsy. I missed a morning dose of meds and knew I could have a seizure, and so when she began shouting that stuff at me I simply passed out and began rolling dice to see if I got to wake up. I could only muster a “Exit. The. Building.” as I woke up to her hovering over me a few inches from my face. Paramedics arrived, I tell them “Epilepsy, grand mal, stress-related. Get me to neurology, I’ll explain the meds on the way. And keep the crazy lady away.” Before promptly taking a nap. There are correct ways to help people with epilepsy not have a seizure. Yelling at them is not one of those ways.

Worst was when it caused the muscles of one leg to seize up so bad it actually felt like it was going to dislocate my hip. Nearly 2 months of that before my body got used to the medication... But aren't you called a paraproffesional? Or something idk

@@Psilomuscimolyou're correct; another term for my position is paraprofessional! However, those not as familiar with medication terminology may not understand what a parapro is, so often outside of educational settings, I say I'm a special education assistant (since that is fairly self explanatory)

@@SarahGraceBennett Oh that's super cool! Both the fact that a verbal intervention can make a positive difference, and the name "paraprofessional"; as a paramedic, I'm just wildly guessing that "para" is in reference to working 'outside of' or 'before' a formal clinic.

That is fascinating... Though there's also the implication that sometimes you'll say "I don't think we have time for a seizure today" and his brain decides "I bet you we fucking do!" rather amuses me... 😂

I have ASD and ADHD, and It gave me flashbacks to my school days. We had that really mean math teacher, she was always yelling during the lesson. And I always ended up in shutdown on her lesson. I would stare at the wall, or draw some fractals on my workbook, not responding to her. Couldn’t say a word, couldn’t move an inch, completely stunned and speechless while my overlocked brain was entering a safe or better survival mode. She always yelled at me, insulted me, thinking that I just ignored her on purpose. And then at home my parents always thought that I’m just too lazy to do the homework in time, but I just couldn’t concentrate. Parents hever believed I had a condition. By the time I got 16, I was so overwhelmed, my symptoms become worse and I started to skip school, began self harming, almost non-verbal. Hopefully three my besti friends dragged me out of this back to high functioning

That's terrible. Math can be so fun so I am so sorry that you had such a terrible experience. That teacher should not be teaching.

My teachers didn't care enough for me to worry about school. I did bare minimum(tests, class work, quizzes) but no homework or book reports. And I still graduated on time

I'm sorry 😢 I can shutdown when overwhelmed too, luckily it never happened in school. But I also smile when feeling awkward and I've gotten in trouble with people who think I'm actually feeling happy or cocky in that situation. 🙃 I can zone out so once a teacher was having a go at me and I didn't realise until she started getting mad at me for "smirking" and everyone was staring at me, making me smile more 😅 I have also made my best friend mad before because she didn't understand for some time that I wasn't doing it on purpose. I'm dyspraxic and although everyone assumed i was, i wasn't diagnosed till later so I just plodded along doing my best. Not realising that dyspraxia is a lot more than just being clumsy 😅 so learning about my disability in the last year has really made me be more kind to myself and I can explain to people why I can't do certain things I wish people would be more understanding 😢

Same with my depression! I’ve been told to “just snap out of it” - and just like that my seratonin, dopamine, and the myriad of other chemical interactions in my brain fall in line, and I’m just fine! Pow! Done!

I'm a teacher, and have had a couple students have seizures in my class. Little did I know that I just needed to sternly tell them not to, and all their health problems would go away??

If it was my brother I would be very mad. I was blessed by God to be healthy and not have that but my older brother suffers from epilespy and he si fragile. He lives a restrcited life style but still manages to smile. Just know man that I know wht that is like. I hate it when people don't take enerugolocial problems such as these or toher disesaes seriously. People who were born healthy and haven't gone through the suffering we went through will ne ver understand how big of a blessing it is to be healthy.
