Hua Chenyu is an alien. His singing skills are different from others, but it's the best way to express the emotions of his song. It doesn't matter which way of singing, the most important thing is the effect. His effect is undoubtedly incredible. He is amazing.

I just watched his 2018 MARS concert. Unreal. 80,000 people singing with him. This guy is more than a star he is more like an idol. His words in his songs are potent and meaningful The music.just makes his words felt. The song ' HERE WE ARE'" has him coming out on a giant lit arm with a sea of people. This concert is about three hours. He does not have other artist, dancers. It is all him on a huge well lit stage. HE has incredible stamina. What a talent. Loved your reacton. Keep them coming .

Nice commentary about Hua's vocals. Fake Monk from Singer 2018 is a great example of how he uses his voice for various effects and emotions. It's more on the artistic interpretation of a cover song. Hope you have a chance to react to it. Also be sure to view the preperformance interview which Hua explains his interpretation.

Yes. It is Chinese operatic style singing. But it's also said to be an imitation of Chinese opera, not the real Chinese opera technique. BTW, this style has been really popular in China among young people. There are a lot of amazing songs specially written with this style.
@gianthamster7093

@@ptxdearpearsDQ Yes. There's a debate in China about this singing style. Young Chinese people started to respect the traditional culture recently in a modern way. Then, some singers find a way to involve that Chinese opera singing style in pop music. However, the real Chinese opera performers say this style is different from actual way of Chinese opera. They just sounds similar, but they are not same. Usually, real Chinese opera performers requires special training for decades from childhood. I personally can hear a little bit difference. For example, there's a song called Qian Si Xi. The originial singer Aki A Jie is classically trained (chorus part). (link here:kzitem.info/news/bejne/pGyP1Zach5yWpJg). And I can tell some difference from other versions in which they are only trying to sound like that. (BTW, it is a pop song, not real Chinese opera). But anyway, I like the way people trying to mimic that style. Just because it sounds damn good to me. Who cares it is real or not...

@@ptxdearpearsDQ And for non-Chinese speakers to know, when using this style, singers also change the way of pronounciation and other stuff other than the vocal techique. Those things shows an ancient charm which I don't even know how to explain. Also, the thin voice that Ramsey mentioned is one of the style that usually represent female character, which is the most popular now. There are also others that don't use this thin voice. Check this song out if you are interested: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1mmBvquJp5Npo4Y.

I was sweating for a moment when my name was mentioned 😅 but he did have a long music background and was at some point a music teacher (don’t know how long he only mentioned it in an interview). That’s why I don’t get why he still insists on singing differently, but I did see him explain complicated music theory once in a video about his own song, I cannot point out what exactly because it was in Chinese and I didn’t understand anything of it. Although he explained himself in a “tweet” (actually Weibo) that he made a small mistake because he hasn’t been in school for long time. He knows he can improve, which is one of the reasons he returned to Singer when they invited him again in 2020. He was busy and didn’t want to go at first but he wanted to show his improvement in the last 5 years because he promised his fans that he would improve every year ever since his debut in 2013. Not to forget his company actually accepted before he agreed 😂 In any way, I am a huge fan of him so I personally don’t care how he sings because he conveys his message well but I noticed multiple voice teachers/coaches making comments on his singing technique so I thought I tell something about it. Thanks for the video ❤️ (You can see him teaching music as well as a mentor in the show The Coming One where he has been the main mentor for the show because he has been there for all 3 seasons, we can see a quite a few clips where he teaches different students personally and he helps them the entire show)

@@ramseyvoicestudio I can't link you up to the 15 second video because like much on KZitem, I cannot find it without knowing the exact title. I can hook you up to the video where they got the pronunciation from though. They were using a video clip the host of the show "The Next" introducing Hua Chenyu as the proper way to pronounce his name. That clip was from his appearance where he sang "My Skateboard Shoes". Luckily there is a clip that starts with the hosts introduction so you only need to watch the first few seconds of the video and you do not need to go any further and hear any of the song (in case you want to react to that song in the future). That clip is at kzitem.info/news/bejne/xYOLmZ9ms55enoo and like I said, it is the first few seconds of the clip and is the first thing you hear.

Well I don’t think it really matters, because even many non-native Chinese speakers can’t speak perfect Chinese. And besides his pronunciation is close to the real deal. I don’t think English even has that H sounds. I am Dutch and I know what H it is in The Netherlands and it’s actually pronounced as a soft g here so I am not sure English has this H pronunciation.

Maybe if you know how to pronounce Juan in Spanish which is pronounced like Huan you can pronounce Hua better, it’s similar.
@USCanthony

@@stanleyho8009 Just go to the link I provided in my reply to the owner of this channel. Hua Chenyu had originally used the first so many seconds of this clip in a short clip that he created so people could hear the proper way to pronounce his name. The clip is to a Chinese T.V. show that Hua Chenyu was on and the very first thing you hear is the Chinese host of the show saying Hua Chenyu as he introduces the artist. This had nothing to do with an English pronunciation. This is how his name is properly pronounced in China. If you listen to the first so many seconds of that clip you will understand what I mean by wa with a soft h sound. You will also not hear anything that sounds like who-ah. Not even close.

This video is perfect example about the reason i decided to not subscribe to your channel. it is clear he is a genius You chose to give up reacting to him edit:(?) it was a question sorry in your comments you fail to judge his tecnique because he make sounds finding the perfet one needed by situation i thing you are too much in "teaching configuration" while soul analisys is needed to make your comment really effective you have potential but you are again not complete to me, i see again your great potential but i am not feeleng you as complete... Hua nedds more than this please try to find more... best wishes

@@ramseyvoicestudio you often answer to comments and this is a really a good thing, the best thing is that you answer indifferently if people give good or bad comments. i like you do that (i have high level respect ;) for you )

I wanted to add one more thing, @Andrea. I didn't purposely choose not to continue to react to him, I have had problems with copyright with Hua, and can't take a chance on losing my channel
