Never thought I would ever buy a Kia. Had similar issues with dealers jacking up the price so I went 2 hours from home to a more rural area and got the vehicle at the price I wanted. I am so impressed with this vehicle. It is a tank. Loaded with tech. Drives like a dream. Turns heads. It does not miss a beat. Best vehicle for the price I have ever purchased and I have owned every major brand whether Japanese, German, or US.

I bought a KIA Forte, new 2018. I was somewhat skeptical too but I tell you what, this little car really changed my mind. It's fast, it's fun, economical, and the warranty, customer service, and dealer experience were all outstanding. In my opinion, KIA and Hyundai were where Toyota and Honda were in in the 70s and 90s and now they are in the 21st century and you can't beat the price either. Go for it, Jeep is not what it used to be.

At the time of this video, 3 months after initial launch, The SX w/Presitige is sold out for the 2020 model year with pre-orders full at a 4-6 month wait time. At the mid-size volume dealership I am at, 70% of the inventory is purchased before it arrives, the remaining 30% sells within 48 hours of arriving at the dealership. That trend has actually been improving since launch, as none of our first 15 Tellurides were presold. Also, not a single one has been discounted, only manufacturer rebates. Despite that, no complaints from customers. In this day and age of new car sales, with online info, that is almost unheard of. It is quite honestly 8k underpriced. The Telluride has nearly the same equipment on the entry level, as a 60k+ Buick Enclave. Anyone who trashes this vehicle, is a badge snob, who is too emotional to take car advice from.

Kia is a dying breed in that they make cars people will actually like, listen to their consumers and deliver products accordingly, and produce vehicles that will surprise you on every level. I have a 2000 Honda and I’ve had it for 19 yrs. We are a Honda family and have been loyal to that brand. However, the Honda Pilot would not have worked unless we got the Touring. The price for that suv was right up there with a luxury suv. Came across another review on the Telluride so I checked them out. It took us about a month to pull the trigger (mostly because the dealerships couldn’t keep them in stock). I love my new Telluride it looks and feels like a luxury vehicle. My family fits comfortably. Kia now has a forever warranty on the motor, transmission and axle. To keep this warranty you just have to make sure you’re keeping up with maintenance. I’m a stickler for that so it will work for us.

Way better than any Jeep. That one journalist claiming the car is loud was lying. Women seem to care more about the badge than men. My wife felt the same way until she drove the KIA. We were always a Honda family and now we’re a KIA family. She loves this SUV. We moved from a Honda Pilot. I purchased the 2019 KIA Stinger GT2 last week and if this car had a BMW or Audi badge, the starting price would be 70K. Average buyers don’t know or care that the longtime award winning Audi designer, Peter Shrier works for Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis. The BMW engine tuning legend, Albert Bierman also works on all three brands. This isn’t the old KIA and I don’t understand why they don’t change the corporate name and logo. They lose buyers like your wife due to KIA’s past and deservingly poor reputation.
@seoulstice85
5 жыл бұрын
The reputation is the biggest issue. Im Korean and have this stigma with Korean manufacturers after driving a 2007 KIA Sportage that had too many problems. I was looking at the newer KIAs recently after some good reviews but my wife was adamant about getting a new BMW X3. She would not even give KIA or Hyundai a test drive because she wanted the "luxury" brand even if we have to pay the luxury prices.
@stevewise1656
5 жыл бұрын
seoulstice85 Like I said, many women care about the badge. One of our female friends bought a BMW X4 yesterday, even though they really can’t afford it. We do well and can comfortably buy or lease any car without a Ferrari or Lamborghini badge.:) My wife didn’t want a BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover etc., like virtually every other man or woman in our neighborhood. With the X3 if you want real leather seats or any other features you’d get in a Honda or KIA, the price goes up exponentially. It’s a badge and that means a lot to some people. We’re comfortable in our own skin and have no need to impress others with our cars. Our home and other assets are more important...including putting our kids through college, so they won’t take in any debt. It’s all about priorities.

We leased our first Kia, the Nero for 4 yrs. The fuel economy is great and we are overall happy with the car. My husband went ahead and purchased a Kia Forte GT for his work commute. He got a fully loaded 2020 Forte GT, which includes custom paint and remote starter, nice rims, large touch screen, heated seats, smart cruise and headlights, lumbar support seats with heat and fan for $22K. The dealer gave us a great deal and he was very happy with it. Now the lease on our Nero is coming to an end. Recently, we went to the car show. We went to look at the Telluride, I thought it was very nice. However, after looking at the Hyundai Palisade, in comparison, the Palisade looked and felt more posh than the Telluride. The fully loaded Telluride is in the $46K range, while the Palisade limited is also in the same range. However, the Palisade limited offers a fully digital dash with camera video for right and left lane switching, over dash digital display (on your windshield) and the finishes throughout the inside and outside of the vehicle are very high end. Kia is the sister co of Hyundai so they both offer the 100K mile warranty. I also like the space under the center console in the Palisade, which can be used for purse storage. In summary, though I like Kia and have never been a fan of Hyundai, I have to go with the Palisade on this. We were originally thinking about going with an MB GLC class, simply because I thought if we were going to spend over 40K on a car, we might as well go with a high end manufacturer, but having every possible comfort and safety feature you can think of for 46K is too good of a deal to pass up. Both the Telluride and the Palisades are nice cars, but if you’re looking for high end finishes and feel- the Palisades is the way to go.

derek flint Hmm, I would think it’s the other way around- with the Telluride being the BMW equivalent. Well, I have to say that we test drove the Palisade. Personally, I didn’t feel comfortable in it. Not because of space, I just thought it was just too big of a car for me and way too many buttons to deal with. We decided to test drive the MB GLB. First, I don’t have to climb into the car cause it’s at the right height for me. Second, the rear leg room is fantastic. Third, the fact that I don’t have to lean forward to access the touch screen, due to the mouse pad in the center console is a huge plus for me. Fourth, even though not really for adult passengers, having the third row seat option, while not having to get into a larger class car is really great. Lastly, the handling is fantastic and the MB voice command options is very cool (like a Siri). So, that’s what we’ve decided to go with. The GLB is just a much better car, given that it’s about same price range as the Palisade and Telluride.
@aldridkg
4 жыл бұрын
derek flint Haha- yeah, at the height you def need all the room you can get! I leased a Kia Niro when they first came out. I was happy with it. Just need more interior room now. For my hubby, the Kia Forte GT or whatever, provided a lot of tech options combined with good mileage . He purchased the 2020 last October. He’s the type that keeps a car for 20 yrs. I prefer leasing. I have no qualms with the Telluride, but I just don’t see spending $47-8K on a Kia or Hyundai. That’s just me.

People really need to get over themselves. Nobody is "too good" to drive a car based off of the brand name. Nobody actually cares what you're driving. If it does what you need it to do, just buy the damn car - it's truly just an appliance.
@azerogliev6520

You might want to think it works like that, BUT the reality is .... it's NOT! People DO care what they are driving, people DO care how it looks, people DO care what others think about them etc. If it wasn't like that - everyone will buy ugly cars or minivans since they are most versatile and comfortable for the job. Yet, people like SUVs, people like reliability (Toyota), people like luxury brands, people like to drive prestige cars (take Porsche etc). Most importantly - people dont like to be associated with cheap brands bruh - Kia is one of cheapest brands nowadays. Possibly worst brand image wise. Ugly front design of Telluride doesnt'help either - it's a Kia Soul on steroids lol. Same design - many noticed lol. Hence why people are saying Telluride is no bueno. Folks are still going to buy Highlanders and some other expensive SUVs. Telluride will have its market among plebs, so no worries. Everyone gets what they deserve or what they can afford lol.

Because you struggle with your Identity, you run to overpriced, unreliable, German vehicles because of the emblem. Why is a Genesis G70 now considered by experts as better than a BMW? The Koreans are playing hardball. They have hired industry lead ing engineers and designers, too. Albert Biermann is dope. "Brand loyalty" is one of the most unusual human traits in consumerism. People should spend their money on the product that does the most for their needs for the right price point. Doing so rewards the more innovative and creative companies (at the time you spend) and encourages their competition to improve their product. It makes all companies in a market get better (or die out, deservedly). Brand loyalty only makes sense if you are holding stock, or work for the company, otherwise your loyalty is just "free money" for them. Pay the people that innovate for you!
