With those wheels try re-balancing them by first taking off all the weights as I have seen some wheels covered in weights and taken them all off and found thy needed 1 small weight, some are balanced by morons.

Loving these videos Jack. My biggest criticism of a lot of automotive youtubers is they use music instead of explaining what their doing. Love that you narrated your thought process. Keep it up!

Well Jack, I think this will be great. I get the feeling you have a lot to share we don't normally see on these videos. You're clever and obviously have fun. And Freddy's carefree and snarky persona makes things lighter. He always makes it feel like he can take any hot and come out with a smile. While I'm sure he feels the pain, he plays his part well and you guys are entertaining. And Evos kick ass. Good luck, sir!

Your voiceovers during the time lapses are very well done. They make me feel like I'm in the loop even if I don't completely understand what's going on.

My friend’s dad had an Evo 8 back in the day. He was a semi pro rally driver. He was also the equities most unassuming man. One night he drove us back from our friends house who lived out in the middle of no where. We’d been bugging him for months to drift the car around bends but he always refused. Anyhow he must of had his red bull that night because without warning he rips the tail out executes a perfect drift. We never asked that man for anything ever again. Good times.

Other than the crash damage and the Copart damage that is one of the cleanest Evo's I've seen rust wise. Also having it still be square top and bottom after that kind of damage is incredible.

As a fellow Evo 8 rebuilder, welcome to the club!! They deserve to be rebuilt/restored as much as we can! With you pointing out that sensor on your pipe it makes me believe it had a Speed Density setup at some point, i went SD on mine and it uses the same location but requires a harness from the MAF to the sensor. Good luck and Great work sir!

Wow nice pick. You did well with this one. A few things to change that if it was a straight car you would want to change. Just your finding them before they get too bad. Looking forward to see the progress on this one. Nice one. 👍🔧🔧
this is instantly one of my favourite car channels ever :)) Jack is such a down to earth, watchable bloke, i love his content already and i cant wait to see this build unfold :)
I realize I'm late to this series (but extremely happy I came across it!), but a lot of these issues seem like they would have been so easy to just do the right way the first time.

Awesome video and very exciting project! Bodywork is such a scary thing for me... can't wait to see how a pro deals with that! A tip: don't use WD40 for stuck bolts. Although it kinda does the job in many cases, that is still pretty garbage as a penetrating oil, especially since it is NOT the intended usage; It's just a Water Displacement (hence the name). Get some actual good quality penetrating oil, like Cre Oil; Liquid Wrench or Kroll. I did just that in the middle of my restoration, and oh boy did it make an enormous difference!

A tip for the recorded sound in the garage. Add some high pass so the passing by cars and trucks don't create unnecessary bass frequencies to the soundtrack. It's an odd feeling with headphones on and distracts the viewer. Your voice overs are splendid and very nicely articulated. Really liking the content!

@10:38 that's for the intercooler sprayer. Not for the intercooler piping. But that part is missing from your car. It's normally located on the right hand side of that bracket.

I’m glad you got your own channel. I love tavarish material too, I’m just glad to see this dude featured front and center. As a retired auto body man, I see so much inconsistent and cringy body work on KZitem and irl. I enjoy the way you clearly know what you’re doing and you go through the needed steps that so many others overlook. I’m definitely a fan and will look for new material here on the regular.

Jack the intercooler pipe with IAT(at point in its life it converted to speed density). You prob guess correct, speed density is super to stock MAF. Your stock MAF provides the IAT sensor. I would also look to replace that boost solenoid(w/ tune). The stock solenoid is extremely inferior but it does work. Loving the episode.
