A few clips showing the rebuild of the bridge that carries the GMR across Forbisdon Lake. These works were carried out on May 1, 2024 (10 days prior to the publishing of this video).
The city of Suchester is being rapidly developed, with new housing developments, retail outlets and the core of the Hermitian road network being built at a rapid pace. Naturally, Suchester station was rebuilt between February and April and renamed "Suchester Mason Street" in preparation for the new principal station of the city to be built further west (see the MRB Instagram account for the relevant updates).
To the west of the newly-renamed Mason Street station and the road flyover, here is the 2019-built Forbisdon Lake bridge. Since this video was prepared, the surrounding area is now full of housing (but a public park retains the greenery immediately adjacent to the railway).

The GMRTLP's objective is to eliminate the many unrealistic inclines and drops of the Great Minecraft Railway route, to keep it roughly on a similar y-coordinate, making it look and function better. In some places, the GMRTLP will involve completely re-routing the tracks into bridges, tunnels and cuttings (as well as demolishing existing ones), but that's acceptable. The rest of the track layout is also being rebuilt to modern standards. Works began at the end of 2023 at the Howston end of the line.
