Looking forward to your tutorial. I hate building from world downloads and hate tutorials that don't explain why and how the system works. When redstoners just dod block by block without explaining what the parts do it is impossible to figure out what is broken when there is a problem. Thank Impulse for a new sub :)

Just built this with no issues. Replaced your categorizer which I also really liked. The main reason I swapped was to upgrade size and also if it ever messed up it really got messed up, this one seems more robust. Small mistake I made that caused some issues is I had a powered rail on top of the redstone block after the honey block which created too much speed and misaligned the cart.

Very excited about this project! I built your last one and love it, but always wished it was faster, so I’m looking forward to the tutorial! If I built you last categorizer, do you think it’s possible to still use the same physical layout of the room and just change the hardware behind the chests? I know I have to reprogram the sorters, so I was hoping to just tear out the stuff in the back instead of having to break chests and move items around.

Thank you for this super clear tuto, I had a little problem so I try my luck here. I've built the U-shape room on my server and everything works fine, but on certain items (chest columns) an item remains in the hopper above the barrel behind the lamp, which blocks the system. I've tried debugging the machine but I can't find the problem. Does anyone know what's causing this bug?

Could you not add an auto pulser to the fix snowball line? Something you press and it pulses constantly and locks all catagories automatically and instead of the light, have the pulse from there turn off the auto pulser, then it can automatically fix it's self from one button press. 😉👍
@MaizumaGames
Жыл бұрын
You could technically hook the feedback pulse of the rail switch back to the reset line and it would do it automatically but this solution also creates new problems and the solution to these problems breaks the principle of simplicity I'm trying to keep with this project. Maybe in the near future this idea can be refined.
@DaftFader

@@MaizumaGames Ah I was thinking just a simple clock that connects via button push and disconnects when the light above the rail that signals it's done comes on (that's kind of simple in theory right?) :) It's just so you don't have to manually keep pressing the button, and don't have to keep looking at the light (IK I'm lazy haha) ... I am happy to build something like that myself when it gets round to it, (not asking you to design it into the build), I'm just wondering if that would work. ;)

Hi I found a bit of an issue with the system. Most of the time it works as intended but when you expand the slices it starts to suffer from an issue where items can have their category selected by the minecart while a line of items are en route to a further hopper, resulting in items being sorted into the wrong category. Idk if there is a fix to make it infinitely expandable or if the fix is to load the items into another input chest every time that maximum is reached but its worth noting that there is a size limit before it needs to have a new start line
@MaizumaGames

I'm having problem with the last section's minecart (I'm using the "U" shape) getting powered at the unloader rail/hopper before its done. Resulting in items getting stuck in the bannerhopper under the inputchest and breaking the system for the last section. Any idea? Having to get banners from category-chests and move around shears up and down all the time..
@MaizumaGames
Жыл бұрын
1. The rail that minecart sits on while unloading is powered by 2 rs dust. These 2 pieces of rs dust are powered by a comparator below the observers. A lot of people forget to place that comparator, so make sure it's there! 2. The unloader might break depending on the direction you build it because the minecart won't stop where it needs. To fix that please try the new unloader by downloading the latest version of the system. It's the one with a redstone torch + trapdoor setup.

Unless I missed it in the video, How does the reorganizer handle overflow? From my testing, it just breaks
@MaizumaGames
Жыл бұрын
When a category overflows the minecart stops at the opposite end of the sorter since Items can't be unloaded. Once you free up space the minecart goes back to sorting automatically. This behavior is independent for each segment and you can easily find which category has run out of room by looking at the indicator lamps.
