reCharkha - The EcoSocial Tribe , is working to Conserve the Environment and Enable Livelihood for our rural and tribal folks.
This initiative our reCharkha EcoSocial, upcycles and repurposes WASTE plastic bags, polybags, grocery bags, multilayered wrappers of chips, cookies and other household consumables. In addition reCharkha also upcycles old audio and video cassette tapes.
reCharkha's process of upcycling is mostly manual, thus enabling Livelihood opportunities to the people whom we work with, especially our tribal women and youth in Dadra Nagar Haveli.
The process finally yields an UPCYCLED-HANDWOVEN fabric, which is then designed and tailored into fashion accessories such as handbags, purses and pouches, electronic covers and home decor items, for the conscious consumers.
Our website is www.recharkha.org , where you can shop for conscious, sustainable and alternative product for daily use!
The Founder of reCharkha EcoSocial is Amita Deshpande, with the core team consisting of Abhishek Paranjpe and Jaee Jadhav-Garad. reCharkha's head office is located in Pune, Maharashtra, India
