There are several recipes for Szeged goulash, which are more or less the same, only they differ in certain things. We have tried different recipes, but this one is the most delicious. In order for Szeged to be as it should be, it is important to have quality cabbage. As for meat, we use pork for this goulash. It can be fatter, for example a shoulder or a nice belly, but we mainly use leaner meat, ie loin, mainly for children.
Szeged goulash tastes best with dumplings, but it can also be used with potatoes or mashed potatoes.
We need these raw materials:
2 medium onions
Lard or oil
2 teaspoons ground red pepper
600 g of pork - shoulder, pork belly, if lean, loin

Ground black pepper

800 g of sauerkraut, without brine, if very sour, wash

150 ml of sweet cream
