Ingredients:
Shortbread:
300 g wheat flour (2 cups)
50 g powdered sugar (3 full tablespoons)
5 g baking powder (1 teaspoon)
4 yolks
200 g cold butter (1 cube)
Knead all ingredients until crumbly.
Divide into 2 parts (the larger one for the bottom of the form, the smaller one for the top).
Place most of the dough on the bottom of a 20x30 cm form. Prick with a fork. Put in the fridge.
Apples:
1.4 kg of apples
Wash, peel, remove seeds and grate on a coarse grater, cut into small cubes or use a food processor.
Place the apples in a pot
Add 2-3 tablespoons of sugar
Simmer on low heat until the water evaporates and the apples are soft
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Take the dough out of the fridge, sprinkle it with breadcrumbs and add the warm apples
Sprinkle the apples with the remaining dough. Bake for about 40-45 minutes without convection, top-down heater, in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, level 2 from the bottom.
Sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar
