Mr. Buffington, Thank you for the efforts you put into making this video. Regrettably it didn't speak to my interest. I'm looking for a video that speaks directly to decimal fractions, 1/2 a unit equals 0.5 units. Regardless of how you write 1/2 unit, it's reciprocal remains 2. That much I understand. What I'm interested in are irrational decimals, for example; both the Sine and the cosine of 45 degrees are 0.70710678119 .... eleven digits being all my calculator will do. I'm guessing I could round down to say; 0.7071 and make the fraction of 7071 over 1,0000 and then, as you say, flip it over to 10,000 over 7,071. Oh, that's the trick. Sigh, I'm going to leave this comment up as a reminder that at least on occasion you can answer your own questions. 7,071 divides into 10,000 1.41422.... times, which is the both the the Secant and Co-secant of 45 degrees, or at least close enough for my needs. Again thank you if for no other reason that this video helped me with my question re; The reciprocal of irrational decimals. FWIW I'm 66 and a retired Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Refrigeration Service Tech. Sigh, I was also a dismally poor student in school.
