Haj Karim Mansouri beautifully emphasises the profound connection between recitation and action, urging reciters to embody the teachings they recite.
Reciters have a responsibility to develop their Ma'rifah (spiritual recognition) and purity alongside their recitation. They must embody the teachings of the Quran and Ahlulbayt, striving for the high akhlaaqi (ethical) virtues expected of a believer. It is not sufficient for one to only concentrate on the outward aspects of recitation, such as voice and tune, without infusing their recitation with spirit.
Reciters should make efforts to become, in the truest sense of the words, Ulamaa (scholars), Urafaa (mystics), Mukhliseen (sincere ones), and Saaliheen (righteous ones).
