Sometimes even the heart of the Aquarium needs some love! Three years ago, a portion of the back wall inside our Kelp Forest Exhibit fell to the ground after 40 years of holding strong against the ravages of seawater. No animals or humans were injured, but it was time to approach exhibit reconstruction in a way that had never been done before. Join us in a conversation with our director of dive operations, George Peterson, and curator of husbandry projects, Scott Greenwald, to hear the story of how we reconstructed our iconic Kelp Forest Exhibit, a.k.a. the heart of the Aquarium.
