Thanks for this video! I'm running on limited time today and I set the session up after watching this video. I especially appreciate the work around for channel strip settings. It took a little extra time but it'll make the set up for future sessions that much more efficient. I'll update my comment to share how the starting point impacts the session!

Would love more Logic-lessons! Maybe something about in-depth recording, more on mixing, favourite plug-ins for drums, etc? Subbed 🙌🏼

Hey Jonas thanks for the sub! That’s great I’m actually planning a few more logic and recording based videos! Next week is a mic shootout between Shure and Earthworks! Welcome to the channel man!

Great video. Short and sweet. Do you have a video on setting the ideal mic input levels for drums? Gain staging etc. Thanks!

New to recording drums and have come back to this video a few times. So well done! I find the file storage confusing with logic and I often erroneously save. Would love to see how to save and store projects and how you start new ones with templates!!!

Question, I'm using a Behringer UMC 1820 with Pyle PDMK&-B mics for drums and Pyle PDMK&-C for the overheads and running it all into Logic Pro. I've followed these set tutorials on KZitem and even with the track on both the interface, logic turned all the way up, using different mics and trying different input and output settings I still barely make it a third of the way up the volume meter. I also set Logic to defaults and still no change. I'm at 3 weeks and god knows how many hours and am running out of ideas. Any idea what's wrong here?

Great vid. Do you have a vid on recording each pad of an electronic drum kit to a separate Logic track? I have a Roland TD-11 and by default, all pads sounds (from the TD-11's brain) are recorded as MIDI notes to one track. As you suspect, I would like to be able to record each pad's sound to its own Logic track so I can EQ/audio fx them independently. Thank you.

Can we record Roland spd sx in logic pro as different sound channels?
@bobdrums
3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yu. So I take the L and R outputs from the SPD and run them into inputs 1 and 2 on my interface. I then combine those inputs in logic to make 1 stereo channel. Hope that helps!

It's a STEREO BUS. SO... right click your pan knob and set it to stereo pan. Don't Use a MONO BALANCE knob on a stereo bus. Thank me later. ;)
