That looks like a gold mine of old truck parts out there. I saw at least 2 more Chevy truck cabs and maybe a chassis or two.

Great find, but neither one is a 3100. The first one is most likely a 3600 3/4-ton and the second one is a 1-1/2 or 2-ton truck. Both cabs look pretty solid.

I know the second one is actually a 4100 truck it has the short boards but I wasn't sure on the first one.

If I had the space (large enough garage) I would like to build a 4100 pickup. Maybe with a 292/6 and a NV4500.

I don’t think so. The pilot bearing retainer may be a larger diameter and require some machining of the bell housing. IDK.
