This video is about players practising the correct distance when defending the pas.
*Cones set up 0.9m from a line on the court.
1. Step 1: Players approach the cone and quick step back (push off) to the line, then hands up. Emphasize knees bent and hands ready.
2. Players continue to complete the process for each cone along the line.
3. Repeat from other side (work both sides).
4. Step 2: Continue the drill, put a thrower on each cone or every second cone.
5. Repeat the footwork and get players to follow the ball with their hands keeping knees bent and eyes and hands engaged.
6. Step 3: Repeat the process and allow throwers to release the ball for players to react.
