Great to see a minimal pedalboard , most " modern " players seem to have a pedalboard the size of a football field for some unknown reason . SRV minimal , Rory minimal , Jimi minimal , Clapton minimal , Green minimal , Kossoff minimal , I see a pattern there .

And not showing off with 5000 dolars pedal (is it worth it? bullshi....). It is inspireing just to watch your exctitement playing with 5 (4) guitar pedals. Shine on Dave!

Great Video as usual! Past FX Chorus, absolutely love mine, my tone all came together by adding that pedal to my board. Pre amp is so unique and brings out something extra from the WH10 and DS2 when combined.

I've been considering the PastFx, but is there a need to readjust it's preamp setting depending on what other pedals are being turned on and off before it? particularly with other gain or distortion pedals? Seems whether or not to engage the PastFx's internal buffer circuit might make quick pedal changes difficult. Or do you keep a fairly strict pedal lineup and avoid these issues?

I love your Frusciante videos, but the only thing I MIGHT change about the tone is making the clean tone a TINY bit cleaner. I agree John's clean tone was never 100% clean (especially live), but on the records it definetely is a lot cleaner than what you got here. Listen to the guitar only tracks on By The Way and Arcadium (I'm sure you already have :D) How ever I guess you usually are going for his live tone anyways so whatever, you always sound incredible!

Man, sounds absolutely spot on..helps that you can actually play as classy as John Frusciante.. respect,.. Quick random question Dave, you’re literally the only person or one of your subscribers might know... on the RHCP track ‘Tell me Baby’ off Stadium Arcadium, during the choruses the guitar that comes into the left channel has a quirky “pew pew” type of a sound and am curious how John Frusciante achieved this? Any ideas?. Many thanks. I love this channel 🙏☘️☘️☘️

It handles my Big Muff, TS808 Tube Screamer, Metal Screamer and all the other modulation FX even if I crank every drive pedal at once.... no issues. It's been a great little money earner using it for busking. Jamming along with online backing tracks its like a mini gig that seems to make folks happy and makes me some dollars (to invest in the next pedal or guitar 🙂). Cheers and keep up the good work ✌️

They might demonetize the video so Dave wouldn’t any money on the video. I think he makes money on the videos. If they were being big jerks they could maybe have the video taken down. Technically this is educational and should be deemed fair used, but big corporations and copyright holders aren’t known for their kindness. 😂

in my opinion you don't need to buy the exact same pedals as fruiscante to sound like fruiscante or anyone else for that matter. but as you've shown here, you only need about 5 pedals for excellent tone and a huge variety. i've got an 8 and a 5 way chain and usually use the 5 way chain. for fruiscante tone you're usually only going to be using 2-3 pedals a time anyway. you might need more than 5 pedals total, but only 5 at any time, even for stadium arcadium tone, which involves a lot of pedal stacking.
