Wow what a beautiful painting. I like to watch your technique. What brand of water color paint do you use? Dana

In this painting, it is Daniel Smith's watercolor paints. Otherwise, I use others as well.

I have never used perylene maroon. Can you achieve the nice purples with it that you can with alizarin crimson? I use WN permanent alizarin crimson, but I know some people use pr179 in place of alizarin. The permanent winsor Newton version of AC is actually a dull Quin Red.

I have used Perylene Maroon for the cottage (and the green mixture, and somewhat in the grass in front of the cottage). Perylene Maroon is very dull, maybe not so good for beautiful purples colors. As you say, Permanent Alizarin Winsor Newton is actually a quinacridone pigment, it is annoying when a manufacturer name their colors invented names instead of calling them after which pigment is included (What is wrong with eg quinacridone maroon). My favorite of all the cold red colors are quinacridone rose, because of its purity and that it is a good primary red.

I'm a bit unsure of what brush you mean, but I think it's about the big flat... It's a plain 1-inch flat synthetic brush of simple quality. Here it is: www.jacksonsart.com/jackson-s-studio-synthetic-watercolour-brush-flat-size-1

Is it a grainer brush or a flat brush that you use at the end of your video to help with the texture.

I watch some of your videos more than once, because I'm a fan. However, the windows look like they are in the wrong plane. They look like they belong on an end-view. I bet this is entirely intentional on your part, and that they look exactly like the actual windows...but they still look wrong to me.

This is a friend's summer house, I have to paint it as it looks! Weird windows, though.
