A Map comparison between the visuals and scenery in West Elizabeth from Red Dead Redemption vs Red Dead Redemption 2. I tried to line up the shots as best I could.

Watching these comparisons is so hard for me because I miss the first game so much more. I miss Mexico man, Chuparosa, Escalara MAN THE MEMORIES FLOODING BACK. The first game was kinda like a mid childhood for me, I was in my teens. Going back and looking at Blackwater unfinished like the bank not accessible and the police station not even built yet. The sad part is Blackwater looked the same when you played Arthur however eight years later with John in 1907 no progress has happened,, I was hoping that the bank and police station would become accessible and the old station would become something else.

OMG the memories I have for RDR 1. It is one of Rockstars games I adored and will always have a memory to it, the same with GTA San Andreas. Back in 2011 that game seemed so ahead of its time. All the NPCS had names on the wiki and that was the first game I remember with the shops closing at night. Tumbleweed was so creepy but Roanoke Ridge takes the cake with creepy now. It's been years, long years between my play of rdr and now rdr2, but when I had a chance (and regreted it, because with arthur the rdr2 kinda died as well to me)... Visiting those places that in theory John would visit had so many signs of stuff I remembered it was like moving in the past (despite moving forward in time lore wise). Almost like visiting your old birthplace after years of being gone. Everything beyond blocked West Elizabeth was like a total throw back with mixture of seeing that place not only how you used to remember it, but how your parents remembered it as well. It's... Weird experience.

I think a cool idea for a sequel would be Jack Marston drafted into WW1 and have a trench warfare setting be a linear first section of the game (similar to Guarma in RDR2) he gets dishonorable discharge from the army for doing something morally right but wrong in the eyes of the military (saving a German etc) he goes to Jail for the remainder of the war, when he gets out say 1919 Beechers Hope has been repossessed by the government or the bank and he has to rob or work with the government to get it back.
