I actually thought that was Craig speaking when Chris did it. :D

Apparently Craig did not like Chris' impressions of him one bit, if Robert Llewelyn was telling the truth in his book (and why wouldn't he have)

2:45 - "A little bit poorly" is another way for Chris Barrie to say that Craig Charles was hungover from the night before and could not make it to the recording of the commentary that day.

I think these were recorded around when Craig got photographed smoking crack, hungover probably isn't the half of it

@@Nilaikx I first listened to this commentary when I got the DVD at about aged 11-12, I took it literally. 15 years later I now realise that it was probably done at the same time as the drug incident.

Danny’s comment at 3:08 (and the slightly stilted silence that follows) is very telling now you say that

Few observations, they’ve all not watched these episodes much if at all especially Chris, which in a way feels a little disappointing, tho i realise it’s common for most actors not to watch there performances, tho I think Robert may have watched them a few times or has an excellent memory! And poor Hattie was trying to be funny throughout and mainly getting ignored by the lads, maybe that’s why they dropped her at the end of this series

After Normans constant moaning about every little thing i'd have thought they would treasure Hattie's company but I think you're onto something.

Cockney rhyming slang for something being crap, as a shortening of “pony and trap” = “crap”. There are lots of shortened expressions. A few: “titfer” means hat because it’s a shortening of “tit for tat”. “Apples” means stairs because it’s a shortening of “apples and pears”. Google cockney rhyming slang, it’s an interesting world. It began as a way of prisoners communicating in a way their guards couldn’t understand them. But it has spread across most of the classes in and around London. My aunt use to use it and they were upper middle class Tory voters in North London. One I use to use not realising it was even rhyming slang was Berk. I used to think it was a mild way of calling someone a fool. I found out recently it is rhyming slang for “Berkshire shunts = C**ts” - many degrees vulgar than I realised.
