Definitely enjoying the book so far! Thank you very much for putting them out for everyone to enjoy. I personally can't afford a lot of extravagantses on my current budget, so I'm slave to the whims of youtube, and it's content providers. That often leads to some cringeworthy listening experiences, but whatever gets me through the day! It's so awesome to find some quality work, and it's not even pirated! I'm not sure this was an economically viable decision for you to make, but I'm very thankful, and grateful that you did! On a separate note, I saw some commenter mention worn out tropes. I don't know how anyone could write a scifi book, without someone making that accusation. I thought it was a bit of a jerkishly pompous comment, but I have to admit, it immediate made me think of how I've been anxiously anticipating, the eventual arrival of a small, furry, cantankerous character akin to rocket the raccoon, or Gant from hells rejects! OK, it's a trope, but what kind of scifi character ISN'T at this point, and if a furry bundle of emotional support character is a trope, then please, trope away! I think the word "trope" should be redefined to mean, "the parts of a fictional work that makes it most enjoyable! Isn't that why we're all listening to it to begin with???...because we are searching for that same feeling we get when something feels familiar to something else that we REALLY enjoy? Sounds more like a genre to me. Anyways, thanks again for the books! My only surprise, is that you can get away with calling the ...darker skinned feller "sponge head". 😬 I completely understand it's a term of endearment, between multiracial siblings, but the way people get today, it's kindof weird and sad, but that's the scariest part of the story! What a weird world we live in!

Thank you Luke for the time and effort you’ve put in to entertaining me(for free on top of that)and for taking a chance on sharing, with the rest of the world, your imagination.very interesting story that has good hooks that get set quickly.action packed adventure.please don’t fall into the usual rut that so many fall into, the “I wrote a fast paced hard hitting opener of an adventure story” then follow it up with “I’ve put out a storyline that people enjoy but instead of continueing with good story telling, I’ve decided to do character studies and explore their thoughts and feeling and give everyone insight into their minds because even though the action/adventure fan base is who I’ve reached, I think what is really wanted is more drama” .trust me,it’s not.

The voice acting is great? You must not listen to a lot of audiobooks. This narrator is simply that, a narrator. He is NOT a voice actor. He reads the book. He over emphasizes most situations. He adds drama to sentences that need no drama and he is nearly monotone at most of half the book. He pauses for too long between most sentences and he speeds up in every other action scene. His differing voices, like all 2 of them, are almost identical. Oh, and his natural voice is that of a whining millennial that doesn't get what he wants. He is terrible. Listen to narrators like RC Bray, Christian Rummel, Luke Daniels, Mark Boyette, Kristine Vham. These narrators knownhow to bring a book to life.

I've enjoyed this... Even with the few instanses of pandering to the storyline narritive at the cost of Character cohesion. E.G. Jeric not letting the lying, theiving, coniving, double-dealing, back-stabbing, Resistance get what they deserve being the biggest of these. That said, Guys have been doing stupid shit for a shot at a hot piece of ass throughout history. Still, that was heavy handed. 😉

The idea is for you to use your imagination and fill in the story. Think star wars. First movie ever made was episode 4. It jumps into the middle of a story. You just fill in the rest. That's all about creating immersion.
